For a campaign im writing, Im designing a dungeon that is a prison for a chaotic evil water goddess. She was summoned in desperation to fight a calamity a long time ago, but being chaotic evil, immediately turned on those summoning her, and she was imprisoned.
The prison itself is deep underwater, with 3 'layers' of the goddesses prison cell inside an underwater prison facility, with the goddesses cell itself being in the middle of the facility. There are ways to deactivate each of the 3 layers of her cell, with a facility wide alarm spell triggered if any of the 3 layers are lifted. Outer wall is a Prismatic Wall that is always on with the help of a glyph. Middle Wall is a metal dome inscribed with all sorts of wards that help dull magic and prevent communication and teleportation. The final Wall is just a simple wall of force, and inside that is the imprisoned goddess and zero water. Figured Id treat the goddesses power like a grease fire- no oxygen, the fire dies out. No water for the goddess, little to no power.
Players would NOT know what they are getting into or doing- to them, it would be a heavily guarded in an area that otherwise doesnt get a lot of attention. A secret to probe. Maybe they let her out and suffer the consequences, maybe they dont.
My issue is the crawl still seems a little... idk, empty. Lacking in other challenges other than dodging guard patrols underwater. Ive looked at this for like a month and cant come up with anything else to spice this up. If you have any ideas to spice this up a little, it would be appreciated. Or, if you think its fine as it, please let me know as well.
