So I kinda want to write an adventure set on Selûne, the moon of Toril. I have a basic plot hook, but I wanted to hear some ideas on how to make Selûne seem like a real place, and maybe some additional plot hooks.
The players are hired by a mysterious sailor to protect his small ship while he's making a delivery. The ship turns out to be a spell jammer, and his delivery is bound for the moon. They are attacked on the way. The citizens of Selûne show contempt for the faerûnians, but allow them to stay until the ship goes through repairs. That is, until a selûnian is murdered, and the suspicion immediately falls on the newcomers.
