My players managed to almost kill Venomfang by collapsing his tower using bombs they bought in Neverwinter. Don't let them do that, unless you want to give them a bigass boost in undeserved confidence (a slow and insidious killer). Secondly, read a bit up on Neverwinter (I recommend the Sword coast Adventuring Guide, but the 4e sourcebook Neverwinter Campaign Setting is also great, you can find a pdf of it somewhere). The players will most likely visit it if they go to Thundertree. How you play Nezznar the Black Spider depends. You may want to use him later as an overarching villain. In that case, no problem, he just casts Darkness when the battle goes poorly and escapes. If not, have him try to bargain his way out of combat, only resorting to violence if he has solid backup

I don't know, Sneet, maybe because your argument is "Submit and become our pet"?
The most important thing you can do as the dungeon master is have fun and let the players do with players do. If they start to derail what you think the game should be, then re-sync it. It’s OK to make a dungeon difficult for her to get through, just don’t make the game difficult for the players to sit through.
Hi, im DM'ing my first campaign, the Lost Mine of Phandelver. Anyone have any tips on how to run it?
Are you looking for specific advice on how to run LMoP, or general advice on how to learn how to run a D&D game?
