So I am creating a campaign for some new players and I just want to make sure it makes some sense or if I should add anything or even subtract from it.
In the town of Little Port a festival is being held in celebration of a Noble's daughter's wedding. During the festivals tournament, one on one duels or team fights, the dead start to rise from under them. Hopefully the party help out and defeat so e of the undead. After all or most of the undead are defeated they all talk in one voice, saying that they will have vengeance against Little Port and the Noble.
We are dealing with a necromancer who was tortured by the Noble before he was a necromancer. This festival serves a tool for the necromancer, his name is Ras, to annoy and hopefully kill the Noble.
After a few sessions of undead hunting and exploring an abandoned church down the coast of Little Port, they fight Ras and hopefully defeat him.
The party should find out, through notes in Ras's room" that he is a pawn of a Bag that nursed him back to life after the Noble left him for dead.
The hag is in a coven and nursed Ras without the other two noticing. She wants to summon my world's evil God to the world and serve under him as a wife of sorts and have his have devil God children. To do this she needs powerful souls of wizards or sorcerers, her two coven sisters are looking pretty powerful if you know what I mean.
She is willing to let her coven sisters die if it means she can harness their power, and when a new hag joins the coven she can prepare to harvest their soul. She's been doing this for some time now.the God will never be summoned, but would see this and reward the hag with a death knight of sorts to aid her.
Of course this might go against what hags are suppose to do, but it seems interesting to twist it up, or if you think a different monster would make more sense let me know.
Any feedback is appreciated.
I don't know what level I want the players to be at when the hags are being dealt with, what do you guys think?
Just always be prepared for the players to not follow anything you have planned and to run or do the stupidest thing like help the undead. Just saying don't expect or hope anything from them.

Edit: Always have a backup plan.
