Trying my luck in here. Im a new DM and player for a Group off 5 other guys, how never have tried too play the DnD and I have been working on a main villain for the camping.
For a bit off background, I have been using and mixing lost mines of phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak, to make a singel camping setting from the two adventures. We are still playing and the players are getting too lvl. 3 next session. The players really enjoy doing combat, with a bit off roleplay. So im thinking about making a main villain a champion off Tiamat, who is building a army to try and take over the northern sword coast, but not sure if this is gonna be too much too build up.
Im open too idea´s :)

It sounds like you’re using those modules to go straight into Red Hand of Doom. Which, in my opinion, is one of the best modules ever. There are dozens of guides online about combining LMoP and RHoD.
not sure if these are quite what you're looking for, but I've got a few things that might help with making ideas.
One of my villains is a Shadow Dracolich, which is supposed to be impossible, but he used the Philosopher's Stone as his phylactery (in my world the Philosopher's Stone is the most powerful magic amplifier in existence). This dracolich was defeated, but the heroes who killed him couldn't bring themselves to destroy the Philosopher's Stone. In time the stone became lost. Fast forward about 1,500 years and a treasure hunter finds this red stone with a tinge of purple to it, sells it to a magical researcher, and 3 months later this researcher uses the stone's power to burn down his entire village. Surprise, the dragon is still alive, is inhabiting the stone, and is possessing whoever has it. So far the party has killed three separate bearers, and have lost the stone the first two times. They get what's going on, but they don't know how to destroy the Philosopher's Stone, or if they even want to in the first place
Another villain is a pair of people changed to strange beasts that still inhabit their original bodies, albeit with jet black hair and crimson red eyes. They are so tired of the world existing that they're trying to resurrect monsters called "Umbras" (taken from Baten Kaitos Origins, if you're curious what they look like) from nearly 2,000 years ago that almost ended the world back then, even though they helped kill these things the first time they showed up
You've also got a Vecna cult leader trying to locate the Eye of Vecna, as well as Vecna's old wizard tower, so he can bring him back into the world (dude already has the Hand of Vecna, and the Book of Vile Darkness)
There's a masked man, wielding sword that can control the minds of those he injures with it (think Saika from Durarara, but not sentient), starting a rebellion in the Holy Lodis Empire to overthrow and kill the Pope (Lodis is a theocracy so the Pope is the head of the government)
Again not sure if any of these will fit with what you've got planned, but they're ideas that might help you come up with something intersting

Have the online DIP adventure? Try a half-blue dragon gladiator. Don't have it? Make a custom dragonborn character and boost him/her up a little bit
Rogue Shadow, the DM (and occasional) PC with schemes of inventive thinking
Not have it, but thanks for idea, will try and work on it :)
Sounds like a really cool Idea, have just read a bit off it, and seems almost perfect fore what I wanted :D So TY :)
