So this week in the game I DM one of my players was having a hard time understanding the cone on burning hands. After going through it with him he was a little upset as to how the cone works as he wasn't able to maximize his damage dealing based on how the monsters were positioned, just needed 5' back which he couldn't do. So I told him I would allow him to turn around backwards, but his hand against the wall and fire the burning hands to cover the cone are he wanted as long as he included himself in that cone and automatically fail his own dex save (can't dodge flamethrowing yourself in the face). He rolled big and almost killed himself and it was a riot. He now has disadvantage on perception checks with smell for the next week and is a completely bald dwarf.
