In tiny print on the credits page on the DMG is the perfect way to stop being a DM....”roll a bunch of dice behind your screen, study them for a moment with a look of deep concern mixed with regret, let loose a heavy sigh, and announce that Tiamat swoops down from the sky and attacks, roll initiative”
In our group we had 3 people who all enjoyed DMing. We played in a shared world and each of us would DM for a time until we started feeling a bit burnt out. The DM would announce that they'd like a break and would anyone else like to DM instead. Then we just switched and kept the game going.
One thing with this is that once you switch from DM to player, you have to accept that the DM will take the story in a completely different direction; I mean it will be really different from what you were planning. So be prepared to give up your baby and let the other DM do what they want. Don't try to actually handover any secrets plots etc., that puts too much of a burden on the incoming DM.
If no one wants to take over, and you think you'll want to DM in the future, then call a break. You could also see if anyone wants to just run some one-off adventures and not a whole campaign. I think the game is better when players get to see what it's like DMing and DMs get to see what it's like being a player.

Does anyone know how to stop being DM in a campaign?????
Say “Hey Everybody, I don’t want to DM anymore, does anyone else want to?”
I mean, you can just stop. It’s not like your players are chaining you up in their basement and forcing you to-
Oh no... do you need help? Should we contact the police?
If telling them doesn't work: summon demons and dragons and kill the party.
