I'm a new dungeon master and i trying DM a group of 5 on the starter quest "Lost Mine of Phandelver" and I was hoping I could get someone to help me kinda set up what I would need to do throughout the game, we tried playing before but we didn't really know what we were doing at the time and I really want to make it a good game for them I just don't know what I should do, id love to get in contact with someone that can help me out.
Okay, I'm presuming this is a little bit away in the future (as in, you aren't doing the first session tonight or something).
I personally would recommend reading through the whole adventure a bit beforehand (just to get an idea of where the adventure goes and so that if necessary, you can help steer the players in the right direction without it being terribly noticeable), I would also recommend Sly Flourish's guide (https://slyflourish.com/running_phandelver.html) and the 4 part video going through the adventure (it's only about 30 minutes total and you could leave the second half until after the first few sessions).
Remember that the adventure module is supposed to be used and adapted as per your needs (the locations can change to suit how your party is adventuring etc), it's not a mandatory set of instructions but a tool for you to use.
Otherwise, I'm happy to be contacted regards setting up or anything (I'm not a super-DM but sometimes even just a second pair of ears to talk through things can be really helpful).

I'm assuming everyone involved is very new to TTRPGs in general. In that case I think the best advice for a new DM is don't be afraid of making a decision to get the ball rolling, its cliché but if you need to start somewhere you can just say you're all in this tavern, or deciding on a mechanical ruling. Other than that just relax and enjoy it!
Agree with Bronze's suggestions, another good resource that I find very useful is Matt Colville's Running the Game series. Most of the series is going to be wayyy more than you need right now but the first episode is less than 15 minutes long and has some great tips and resources to get started. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTD2RZz6mlo
Thank you very much both of you I'm definitely going to check out sky flourish's series and matt colville's game series and I might send a you a PM BurnishedBronze in the near future when I'm setting the campaign up
