If you use a cleric with the war domain and get it to channel divinity lvl 2 you will have a character that can take turns over and over to kill one monster and it can have no reactions or oppurtunity attacks while being attacked this way
Wait... what? Channel Divinity is a once per short rest type of ability. Heck, my current War Priest at level 10 only gets to use it twice. I can guarantee you he does not get to take turn after turn and kill a monster. Sure, I can use my reaction to gain a +10 to single attack... once per short rest until level 6 and then it is twice until 18th level. I'm not sure where the "take turns over and over again" comes in because I don't see any mechanic that allows that.
Here's the full description of the War Priest (minus the fluff and spells at the top):
War Priest
From 1st level, your god delivers bolts of inspiration to you while you are engaged in battle. When you use the Attack action, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Channel Divinity: Guided Strike
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to strike with supernatural accuracy. When you make an attack roll, you can use your Channel Divinity to gain a +10 bonus to the roll. You make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says whether the attack hits or misses.
Channel Divinity: War God’s Blessing
At 6th level, when a creature within 30 feet of you makes an attack roll, you can use your reaction to grant that creature a +10 bonus to the roll, using your Channel Divinity. You make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says whether the attack hits or misses.
Divine Strike
At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Avatar of Battle
At 17th level, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons.
Now if you are thinking that you can combine the War Priest feature (use a bonus action to attack when you make an attack) combined with the Channel Divinity which gives +10 to an attack. And yes, you can make attacks up to your Wisdom bonus using the War Priest... but not all on the same turn. You can use your BONUS ACTION when you make an Attack to use that feature. That's only once per turn.
u need players handbook, dm's gide and to use the optional rule on Bytopia. if u use the bonus action to use channel divinity u can use another war priest feature to give + 10 and use another creature's bonus (has to have sharpshooter feat) and cross class with cleric with war domain *again*

btw cool dog picture
Well, it sounds like whatever optional rule they found there is the thing that is making the game unbalanced.
