OOC: have we left the long grass DM? What are our surroundings like?
Thank you!
The Canopy of the Hollow Forest is so dense that it doesn't allow much sunlight to the floor -even on the sunniest of days. As a result, the forest floor consists of a dense layer of moss over which are several layers of bracken and leaves. Large ferns dot the floor, and there are the occasional remnant of a fallen tree. The trees themselves are old - very old. The average diameter of a tree is about 4 feet (~1.5M). The spacing of the trees allows for easy movement between, even for larger creatures.
OOC: Let me know if there's something I left out that you'd like to know about!
OOC: Just a heads up that I think we all understand that PbP means that some folks will need time to respond (especially since we have folks playing from all over the planet!) You guys have been super awesome, but if it takes a little time for you to chime in, it's all good!
(OOC: How far away are we from the campfire now? If we're within 30ft, and assuming Krunchy still has highest Init, he can make the fire brighter with a cantrip (Thaumaturgy) in hopes of making the surrounding area and make whatever these creatures are visible to everyone. If nothing else it might distract them.)

Unfortunately, you're still about 100 ft away. However, as the figures approach, they are backlit, and you can clearly see that the silhouettes are very Orc shaped.
(OOC: I'm assuming they noticed us by now with these moves)
Krunchy screams, "Orcs! Very hostile culinary critics!"He takes out his massive meat tenderizer (Warhammer) with 2 hands, leaving his buffet platter (shield) on his back.
(OOC: Just so I know, who intends to tank? I can absorb some damage if need be, but I need to concentrate on healing primarily 😉)
"May the culinary gods help us!" Krunchy says, "casting" Bless on 3 party members. ***TBD with an Edit***
Bless: 1 min. You bless up to three creatures of your choice within range. Whenever a target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.
Krunchy will move forward a little to be in a position to engage the closest Orc with melee on his next turn.

Krunchy will move forward a little to be in a position to engage the closest Orc on his next turn.
So Krunchy charges in. "Now we are talking" Morgram follow his example and go strictly into the fight. He will choose the next orc that Krunchy isn't fighting.
OOC: am i one of the blessed people? I will pretend i have it. If dont just take the d4 from my rolls away
If Morgram can get to one of the Orc: Morgram is now completely focused. He can finally test his learned. He runs toward the orc. "You will do no more harm". He takes a deep breath and smash his Bo-Staff toward his enemy
wrong Attack: 18 Damage: 7
attack: 22 Damage: 3
After that he uses the momentum of the attack to crush his fist in the orc face
wrong unarmored Attack: 16 Damage: 6
unarmored Attack: 17 Damage: 4
OOC: Sorry first time i do an attack in this forum. I rolled the wrong dice. I added the d4 to the dmg and not to the attack. I rolled again (i let the old one here so you can see that im not doing something wrong)

OOC: LOL! The Orcs hadn't seen you, Krunchy, but they certainly do now!!
Morgram, you see Orc #1 turn his attention to Krunchy, and rapidly cover the distance to get at him. He was SO intent on killing Krunchy that he completely missed the dwarven monk who had intercepted his charge! With a daft blow your staff comes down hard on the skull of the Orc! The sound of wood hitting skull echoes through the forest. Blood gushes from the split in the Orcs skull and it screams in pain. The Orcs eyes are clenched in agony, and as he re-opens them, he sees the dwarven monk in mid air, and mid-punch! Morgram earns his namesake as his punch lands like an anvil against the Orcs jaw, jerking the Orcs head sideways. His legs buckle, and he falls to his knees. While not dead, his bell has been well and truly rung!
The other Orcs stop in their tracks, stunned by seeing one of them so quickly dropped by such a small creature - and from what seems to have been out of nowhere. The other 3 Orcs attention is directed completely on Morgram and Krunchy.
OOC: LOL - Super impressive, Morgram! So here's where we are: The Orcs are in a line across the foot path, 2 are on one side, 2 are on the other. All of your party are effectively on the path and are within 10 feet of each other. The Orcs, with the exception of the one just dropped by Morgram, are about 20 feet from you guys.
The Second Orc closest to Morgram and Krunchy charges to the aid of his fallen brother and attacks Morgram.
Attack: 20 Damage:15
As the Orc charges, it lifts it's great axe high into the air. Swinging the axe down, the orc catches Morgram squarely in the chest. It slices into his garments, and into his body. A spray of blood is sent into the air.
Currently, Morgram is badly wounded, and Morgram and Krunchy have 2 orcs in close range, one is badly wounded, the other is untouched. The remaining 2 Orcs are on the opposite side of the footpath from Morgram and Krunchy.

OOC: Wow....that roll was hard...
Morgram was so concentrated on the attack that he totaly forgot to stay alert for other Creature. He takes a realy hard Hit on himself from the ork.
First thing to learn: never forget to attention to the sorroundings! He says to himself.
Years of training helps him to stay on his feet but he looks seriously injured.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Xander is next, but I will write up my turn now so you can slip it in on my go. Going to be out for the next 8hrs.
It’s time to hunt. Rey moves forward to the two unoccupied orcs which are furthest away with a burst of speed. Using his feline agility and cat’s claws he dashes from one tree to another, leaping from the base of each tree to the next, circling his targets in a wide arc. He emerges from the forrest behind them, great axe drawn and releasing a bellowing ROAR.
(OOC: I guess I should have said I would have been slightly more stealthy if Krunchy saw them LOL, oh well I guess it's something he *might* do, given how unhinged he is. All good 😉)
(OOC: Just so you all know, Krunchy will Bless— Morgram, Rey, and Val. Make sure to add 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws until the spell concentration breaks. Didn't get a chance to edit my attack post in time, sorry, just remember for future turns.)
As Xander flanks the two attacking Orcs, he throws his hands to his sides. Purple energy begins to form in his hands, you can hear the crackling and popping as he thrusts his hands outward releasing a beam at the second Orc.
The Orc watches as Xander unleashes the energy in his direction. Instinctively, he raises an arm as a defense, but soon realizes this made little difference. The blast hits the Orc and vaporizes the armor protecting his chest as well as the lower part of his left arm which he had raised in defense. As the energy subsides, the second Orc finds himself with no left arm and a sizeable hole in his chest.
Seeing thier chance to strike, the third and fourth Orc begin to close the distance on Morgram and Krunchy.
Rey instinctively springs into action! The Third and fourth Orcs watch as a blur of movement bounces from tree to tree. They realize only too late that they were getting flanked. The realization strikes them right about the time that the shockwave from Rey’s roar hits them. If there was any question that they were being attacked, it was answered by Rey’s Greataxe.
The huge axe cleaves down into the shoulder of the fourth Orc, sending his metal pauldron flying through the air. You the the Orc scream as his blood sprays across the third Orcs horrified face.
OOC: Update: the two Orcs close to Morgram and Krunchy are badly wounded, but still combat effective. The other two Orcs who had been heading towards Morgram and Krunchy have been waylaid by Rey, who has badly injured one of them. Finding that the battle had come to them, they are no longer advancing on Morgram and Krunchy.
Let me get a pot of coffee going, and update my Orcs sheets, and I’ll take Talons turn who’s up next.
