The whip cracked the air and dissipated in emerald energy, missing the enemy. A fate the attacks of his siblings in arms did, fortunately, not share. With the plant dead the satyr walked into the direction of the human. He was sitting in mud as if trying to study his own wounds. We need to clean first, Llwyd thought trying to remember if any of the girls knew the spell for that.
“Sucked you, to be more precise. Now stay still for a moment so I can deal with these wounds, ok?” The druid said after reaching the guide. “Anyone knows Prestidigitation? It won’t disinfect the wounds, but will make easier to check them. Anyone needing healing will probably have to wait until I finish him and Sistri, I can bring you back to your normal size if you want. Otherwise, you should be giant for almost an hour.”
Without waiting for answers, he asked the the Oak Father for Guidance and started to examine Stallok wounds. Number and profundity, degree of bleeding, signals of infection or poisoning, fragments of the creature that grappled the man, he looked for anything and everything.
“Do you know if this kind of thing act in groups?” Llwyd asked Stallock, hoping for a negative. “Is there any chance the smell of its corpse will attract predators?”
Notes: Llwyd casts Guidance on himself and examines Stallock's wounds, which I am guessing its a Medicine check. Rolls below.
Sistri shakes her head at Llwyd's question about Prestidigitation. "Perhaps I can stay large for a moment. But I'd be glad to take a quick rest to recover in a moment," she says. Before she does that though, she comes over to see what Irmiel is doing inspecting the plant creature. "I wouldn't know what we would use anything for. But it might be smart to see if maybe it has something inside from other less fortunate travelers." She would use her sword and large size to work with Irmiel to open up the creature and take a look through the remains.

Irmiel and Sistri tear apart the 'creature', finding only vegetation and rot all the way through. Somehow this thing had been brought to life. Unfortunately they find no sign of any treasure from previous victims, just the bones of several animals including a couple deer, a wolf, and a lot of squirrels and smaller mammals.

Stallock says, "My watch was pretty much up....who is next?"
The rest of the night is thankfully peaceful and the morning finds you sitting amidst sparkling rays of sunshine that poke through from a blue sky somewhere above the forest canopy. Stallock looks considerably improved thanks to some rest and the ministrations from Llwyd. The group breaks camp and continues their journey.
This day brings the group to a section of the forest more and more littered by large fragments of rock, stone, or sections of old buildings that have been tossed from the ruins of the two cities. You pass them by, the forest doing a fare job after only three years to try and claim them amidst vines, moss, and greenery. Stallock slows at around noon and says, "We are now only a few miles from the ruins. This rough area is where you claimed you'd find something. I believe our search begins here."
(I need 1 player to volunteer to roll a Charisma check please. The DC is 18. The DC will drop by 3 each day as you search.)

Once she drags the remains of the vegetation away, Sistri asks to be returned to normal size. She rests as best she can the rest of the night.
As they get to an area more frequently littered with rock and stone, she starts to get more excited. "I really hope we find whatever that clue was pointing to. What was it again?" She pauses, trying to recollect. '"3 miles north of Myth Drannor, great tree home, main foyer...'twelve thousand years'."She looks around at the ruins they are seeing. "Nothing is gonig to look anything like a foyer," she says a bit worriedly.
"We probably should aim for a tree... Or a huge stump. Assuming "great tree home" was a literal description. And assuming "3 miles" means "from the borders of the modern city" not an ancient small village that ended up in the middle of Myth Drannor."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The group begins searching through the great forest for a "great tree home" that is "3 miles north" of the city. Unfortunately it was a large city, and there is a large swath of land that is 'roughly 3 miles' north of there. Your guide has been excellent but he's not a miracle worker, and so your search begins, winding in a zig-zag pattern north, then south, then north, and all generally heading westward following the rough path of where Stallock believes the city border was. The land is peppered with huge chunks of rock that sometimes range up to fifty feet tall, and that's the part that is sticking out above the ground. Some fragments have bits of building, or some are entirely a part of shorn off tower or crushed upper portion of a building.
The hours begin to tick by as you move through the thick brush of the woods. Stallock seems to lead you on a pretty steady back and forth sway through the woods, but the forest is so thick and your target so vague that you're hoping you spot what you need to spot. Llwyd is enjoying the journey. Though the forest is older, and darker than he'd prefer, it is still nature, and he feels at ease with the sounds and scents that feel like home. It is then perhaps suitable that he is the first to identify when something is off. He catches a faint smell of...earth...but, not loamy forest dirt, but deep cave dust...and...have the birds gone quiet. Becoming extra alert he glances around...and sees a shadow form shift in the woods...then another. There...another...clear enough for him to see the elves pointed ears...but also the flash of white hair and the dark black colored flesh of a drow.

“No need to thank me.” He said finishing the treatment of Stallock wounds. Fortunately there was no sign of splinter or poison and the as hurt as the man looked he was far from having his life under threat. “I know that I may not really look like it with the whole turning into direwolf or brown bear and biting and clawing things and people to pieces, but I am actually specialized on medicine and healing magic. Helping with this is my part on the group effort.”
Besides, he knew, their guide was the last person they should allow to die there. Not that he wanted anyone to die. Surprisingly enough he had grown rather attached to the girls. Irmiel could reduce any anxiety that his lack of knowledge about the so-called civilization by her mere presence. Sistri had a way with words that he quite enjoyed and Kris was a kindred spirit. We make for a surprisingly balanced group, he thought as wizard and paladin started talking about the next step on their journey.
“I will take the next watch.”He offered rising to his feet. “I will change into a direwolf. With keen sense of hearing and smell I should be able to notice if anything gets close so if you hear a loud howling, jump ready to fight.”
Notes: Llwyd uses his Wild Shape to become a direwolf and keep the next watch. Perception check?
"Drow!" Irmiel knew very few half-drow, but the horror stories about dark eves were detailed enough to recognize one, once you see them. The legends also claimed those night-killers were also even more magically inclined than the high elves. Well, time to check it personally. Thank goodness this morning she did not forget her armour (learning the ropes of adventuring slowly but surely).
Depending on the positioning, but the plan is to hit the closest drow (preferably from the readiest to attack ) with Hex (Str affected) and then add on top of it Fire Bolt Attack: 19 Damage: 9 (+ 6 if hit)
Llwyd watch as a Dire Wolf the previous evening seemed sufficient to keep away any further predators. And it was a sore, but well rested group that resumed their travels the following day. Eventually though their search brought them to the encounter with these Drow. Irmiel seemed almost out of time, so quick was she to react. In her minds eye she saw the drow attacking, a battle beginning...but....after a moment she realized she was seeing the future....moments not yet occurring, but about to occur. From her momentary vision she spun towards one of the first drow who would attack, his hand crossbow out, a dart with a slick poisoned tip ready to be fired....and she let loose her magic. A burst of fire leapt across the space between them and splashed into him....dark necrotic swirls mixing with the flame. The drow screamed abruptly and collapsed to the ground in a smoking heap.
The drow are spread out evenly in a rough semi-circle in front of the group. Many of them have cover from the trees.
Kris happens to be glancing at Irmiel when she sees the mage conjure a mote of fire and launch it at something. Continually impressed by Irmiel's senses and reflexes, Kris trusts her decision to attack. She draws her blade without further thought and wheels around in the direction of Irmiel's target. Seeing the drow cast in the firelight of Irmiel's spell, she makes a snap judgment and goes for the nearest target. Speaking a word of power, she conjures her spectral armor and then bounds forward to attack with her energized blade.
Kris leaps up a short incline and spins around a tree...her booming blade swinging down and slashing into the mid section of a drow who stumbles back, clutching a deep wound in its side.
The drow in front of Kris hisses, dropping it's hand crossbow that was ready, and yanks out its short sword, stepping forward while trying to skewer Kris in return.
Attack on Kris: 23 Damage: 6
Another nearby Drow aims his crossbow at Irmiel, and lets loose a bolt.
Attack on Irmiel: 21 Damage: 8
Another bolt is likewise loosed at the quick to react wizard....
Attack on Irmiel: 15 Damage: 5
And then the area around the group is swallowed by black as darkness floods over the group.
Stallock from within the darkness curses and moves forward in the direction of the nearest Drow he'd seen. Kris sees him emerge from the darkness, moving lithely over the round, his rapier lashing out repeatedly at the nearby drow.
