Even with shield, that would kill him, or knock him unconscious, so I guess that means I'm just out. Guess I shoulda tried a different strategy. Even using all luck rolls as given, it ends up at exactly 122 points of damage caused, which is his HP total.
I guess you could play out the rest of the combat, if you want, though if every single Orog in the enemy ambush simultaneously elected to target the spellcaster who appeared from thin air for a full round, presumably at a distance from which he could target the enemies in group (I suppose I should have specified that) I don't suppose they would just leave him on the ground doing death saves, and it doesn't look like the guards are well-enough equipped to beat back the rest.
Unless you've got a DM reason for why Locke survives, this looks like the end. Mystra wins. Have a good one.
