"Ack! Huh? Oh, uh... thanks Zal. Still fighting?" Kae, disoriented from being knocked unconscious, stumbles to her feet and quickly surveys the area. "Oh shoot, Eddie!" She grabs another handful of rocks from her rock pouch and gets their little chrome rings activated. Kae slowly puts her rocks back into her rock pouch. She seems satisfied that the battle is over. "Yeah, I really appreciate that forest wizardry you gave me and Eds, but it still probably wouldn't be a super great idea to go and jump into another fight. I mean, you can't really judge a spellbook by its cover, can you? That magic man could have tons of spells that, like, kersplode people, all waiting in reserve. I wanna see the dude get his dues as much as you, but we should at least try to face him when we're at our best."
Kae helps Zalos lift up a double-dead miner for transporting back to the orchard. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spots the floating translucent hand that she somehow summoned earlier. "Oh, uh..." She waves to the hand, and it waves back. "Wacky." Half mentally and half somatically, she guides the hand over to the body and has it help lift as well. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess? Although it seems unlikely that this particular horse even has one..." She swipes at where the wrist of the hand would be, would the hand have a wrist, just in case the hand is just a translucent bit of a whole transparent guy. The swipe just goes through air. "Yeah, prolly not."

It takes some time but the party makes their way back down the path, the corpse in tow. As you travel you feel chill from the cool night air. You fumble around through the path for about an hour when the adrenaline dump of being in a battle catches up with you. As soon as that happens, coupled with the wounds you suffered from the battle, exhaustion hits you. You have to make camp.
Zal is quiet during much of the journey, as carrying the dead even with assistance was no easy task, and he wanted to be as far along as possible. Even as exhaustion burned away the dregs of adrenaline, his usual stubbornness had him gritting his teeth and trying to keep up the march. He might've too, if it had just been him and CC on the trail. But one look at the others leads to him eventually quietly urging Kae to help him lower the body just a couple feet off the path, then take a moment stretch sore limbs and catch a breath.
"Hate to say it, but this'll be as far as we go. Least 'till morning." He confesses. "I can get us a campfire going, but it'll have to be a small one to keep the notice down a bit. Tho', we might have other nightly visitors thanks to stinky. If you two can figure out a way to, uh, tone down the smell, than be my guest -- er, withOUT destroying it, if you don't mind." Zal gives Eddie and Kae a serious look. "And, uhh... uh... what else, uh -- oh! Right! Decide amongst yourselves too who's taking second and third watch. I'll take first once everything is all set. Got it?"

Zal snapped his fingers and points to Kae with a smile, digging her suggestion. But when it came to such speaking points as to trancing and tinkering, the half-elf had to pause for a moment in whatever he'd happen to be doing at the time and rubbed at his chin quietly in thought.
