As you subdue the goblins Gralden says, "Woah, haven't seen goblins this far from the Darkwoods in ages. Let's bring them with us, maybe we can turn them in for a bounty?"
Gralden drags the corpses of the Goblins into the back of the wagon, picking up shortbows and arrows and all their gear, into the back.

After three more days the wagon pulls into a small rustic village, with a backdrop of the Darkwoods far off in the distance. Soldiers quickly approach and stay the horses, "Is this a supply wagon?" asks one of the soldiers.
Gralden sighs, "No, we are on official council business to report to Captain Harlan." The soldiers point out a tent surrounded by soldiers running drills. Most of the buildings in Briarwood Village happen to be tents. Some structures are made of wooden log cabins but one sturdy feasthall sits tall above the others, made of wood but with a stone foundation that endeds to the first floor.
Harlan greets you as you enter his tent. He approaches and reaches for your badge and angles it so that it catches the light from a lantern on his desk. "It took you long enough to send an investigator out this way. They send recruits out to the styx to get trained and I can't afford to let anymore soon-to-be soldiers sit by pretending to search for goblins in the woods and keep coming back empty handed. It all started a couple months ago when we found black feathered arrows, goblin made. My soldiers are good at taking damage and dealing it, but I need someone who can investigate and find out if goblins are moving in or just passing by. What do you say? Can you help us get to the bottom of this mystery? Find some goblin tracks and let us know how close they are to our Outpost. Do some information gathering, to see if they are planning to move in or just passing. Anything you can do would be helpful to our efforts and keep those cadets doing drills and not nature walks."

You find black feathered arrows and goblin tracks. You also find a larger humanoid tracks mixed in with the goblins.
Following the tracks into the Darkwoods, you can also roll three survival checks, DC: 10, 13, 15
With your investigation check, you were able to travel deep enough into the Darkwoods that Gralden says he's heading back to watch the wagon. Further still, you find more and more tracks and you suspect that there is a camp close by.

You hear voices and are able to duck and blend into the brush, just in the nick of time.
Using your stealth, you are able to approach and you see in large view not a goblin camp but a goblin village with plenty of goblin soldiers gearing up for war.
Keeping in the brush you are able to see a pattern of soldiers entering and leaving a main structure and while staying 100 feet away you see an orc emerge speaking common, "Ready, get sword, get arrow. We march at midnight."
Confident in your stealth, you are 90 feet from the closest goblin soldier and 100 feet from the orc who now has his back turned.
Levi will take his quarterstaff and attempt to bonk the injured goblin. Rolled a 5. End turn.

Levi will stealthily move back to the cart: "We need to get back to the village. Now." What time is it now?
The sun is setting and by the time you get back to town it will be dark (6pm)
As soon as we get back to town Levi will run to Harlan:
"There's an army of goblins led by an orc that will be here by midnight!"
The soldiers jump in action and gear up, preparing to intercept the goblins if they attack from the Darkwoods.
Captain Harlan barks commands, "Squad One, head to the West. Squad Two will be stationed North Center. Squad Three stationed East."
One dozen men in each squad stand guard at the edge of the forest on your tip. Midnight comes and goes.
