Sirin will do her best to clean and brush Monty, using Animal Handling: 22. She will also use her own whetstone to sharpen her blades (Just the rapier and daggers, since her longsword--bought in case they fight anything resistant to piercing damage--is brand new). Armor and tunic are also new so she figures they will be clean enough.
Keshin doesn't care about how he looks, since he figures he'll be snooping around in the background for the most part anyway, so he's not going to do anything.

I'm taking a break to focus on IRL stuff. Please don't think bad of me. I'm terribly sorry for any inconveniences this hiatus of mine brings about.
Danami just bought his armor and weapon and received a horse on his journey to the tavern; so he is going to just continue enjoying his ration and watching the others. He will however, put up his tunic with the emblem emblazoned on it; so, as it doesn't get forgotten, torn, or dirty.
1. A well-coordinated team is often the difference between success and failure. Every great force needs a guiding hand—someone to rally the group, to make decisions when the time comes. I leave it to you to determine who among you will rise to that role. Choose wisely, for a leader will shape not only the outcome of these trials but your journey as knights.
2. Teams will enter the arena to battle summoned creatures. Remember, victory here is not merely in defeating your foes, but in how you stand as one—tactical thinking and coordination will bring you glory.
Before we depart the tavern to prepare ourselves and horses for the next day, Torgar speaks to the team, It looks like we have 2 decisions to make tonight. First is who shall take on the mantle of leader of Team Gilmyer. I am willing to shoulder this responsibility. I have experience in leading from the army and can bring that experience to bear here as well. One thing I have learned is to keep an open ear and heart for those who fight with me. Your voices will be heard and you will have as much input in the decision making for this team as I. What are your thoughts on this? The second point is our team unity and tactics. I know we have vastly differing opinions and world views, I have seen some resentment already forming among our group. This must be remedied immediately if we want to have a chance to win. We are going against established and well practiced teams that know each other like their own family. I urge anyone.. if you feel like you have a problem another on the team, to voice it now so it can be aired and resolved. As far as tactics go, from what you have told me about yourselves tonight. It seems like myself and Im'mame will be taking the brunt of the force in the front, Sirin and Keshin will flank and ambush, and Danami (OOC - if you could add your character to the campaign link please!) is more dynamic, being up close or at a distance as the battle dictates. It will rely on Danami and Im'mame to act as healers as well if any of us go down in the fight. Im'mame and I should target different opponents when possible to present more opportunities for our ambushers to gain the element of surprise (sneak attack).
“Well, Torgar, I’ve no qualms with you taking the lead,” Sirin said casually. “As long as we’re all heard and can contribute, I’m happy to go with the flow.”
She glanced around at the rest of the team before continuing, her tone shifting slightly to a more confident, playful edge. “But just so it’s clear—I can handle lone opponents if needed. Ambushing and flanking is my bread and butter, sure, but thanks to a little trick I’ve picked up, I don’t need anyone else around to make my strikes count. If I get one of them by themselves, it’s lights out.”
Her smile widened as she tapped the hilt of her rapier meaningfully. “So if things get chaotic, you can count on me to take down stragglers or isolate and harry a target.” She gave a wink, clearly enjoying the moment. (Rakish Audacity SCAG, pg. 47: You don’t need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature if you are within 5 ft. of it, no other creatures are within 5 ft. of you, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll; Fancy Footwork SCAG, pg. 47: During your turn, if you make a melee attack against a creature, that creature can’t make opportunity attacks against you for the rest of your turn.)
“Otherwise, I agree with you on the tactics. Keep the pressure up front, and we’ll dance around the rest, picking them off where we can. I’m sure we’ll find our rhythm soon enough.”
"Yeah, I guess that makes sense. If you need any info on any of our competitors, I'll scout them out, but with the letter we were given I doubt that'll be necessary."

That is great! Torgar says, it'll be advantageous for us to have an agile and swift melee fighter such as yourself, able to dart around and strike at their weak spots. To Keshin he says, I don't like the sound of these Black Vipers, they seem the sort to cheat their way to the top. If you are amenable, perhaps we can put your spy skills to work and you can take your nightly trance in view of the obstacle course to see if anyone tries tampering with it.
At the mention of spy skills, Sirin realizes that they should stay on the lookout for anyone trying to spy on them as well, and casts a careful look around the tavern for anyone that seems a bit too interested in them. Perception: 9. She is a bit distracted by her excitement however and not as sharp as she would have liked. She waves to Keshin as he heads off, mentally wishing him luck.
"Ah, also! I would like to know what magic we have, if any. None on my part." Her gaze shifts to Danami and Im'mame curiously.
The tavern is still full of competitors. While there are several individuals whoo seem to be listening intently to others conversations, it doesn't look like anyone is spying on you. I'm still working on Keshin's mission. Wasn't expecting this, so that could take some time.
Okay, starting Keshin's mission. You slowly make your way towards the back of the tavern, weaving through the crowd. Your eyes scan the room, looking for anyone paying a bit too much attention. Roll a stealth check..
As far as you can tell, no one noticed you leaving. Or at least, it doesn't look like anyone was watching intently so to speak, if you know what I mean.
You leave the tavern behind, the warm glow of the fire disappearing as the night air cools around you. The streets are mostly empty, but you know there’s still a risk—patrolling guards, curious townsfolk, and other teams could be watching. The obstacle course lies just outside the southern gate of town, a ten-minute walk from here. How do you proceed? You can either choose to go stealthily (Lower stealth DC), perceptively (Lower perception DC), or neither (You rush to the course, not bothering to make stealth or perception checks).

Torgar will spend 69gp for the horse grooming and to enchant his tunic with gleaming. He already bathed and sharpened his weapons before the tavern.

I’ll leave the details to you. Your expertise in this matter far exceeds my own.
"Hah, if you say so." Keshin finishes off his drink and gets up to leave. "Guess I'll head out, then. I'll let you all know what I find out."
Keshin's going to walk around town trying to collect information. He's going to put his tunic and emblem in his bag before he does, though.
