You try your best to peer begin the doorway, but there is just no way. Opening the door quietly, seeing a short flight of stairs heading downward several feet. The stairs end abruptly at another stone door.

@ Team Cistern:
Virran pulls the hidden satchel from the water and upends its contents.
A potion of healing, a potion of invisibility, 50 gp and a clean set of ordinary travelling clothes fall out of satchel. It makes for quite the getaway pack, should someone need it.
Virran continues his searching of the room, moving aside barrels so he can pry open the wooden lids. Excitedly, Virran discovers barrels of salted pork and beef, some bags of flour and sugar, several bushels of apples and, even more excitedly, some ale. Naivara stands there observing as Stig makes his way down the corridor.
Brandywise, however, listens carefully at the door on the other side of the cistern. Over the noise of nails being ripped out of the wood and the moving around of barrels, Brandywise is unprepared for the door as it suddenly open. Alerted to the unexpected noise, the door flies open. Standing in the doorway, with two fellows behind him, is a fierce looking redbrand with his sword in hand. "Well, looksey here, boys. There's some fat looking rats come to eat at our larder. Best stick 'em before theys get to big for themselves." At that Fierce, right in front of Brandywise, makes a quick lunge for the fighter, with the intention of grappling him and pulling him into the room.
(OOC: Reckon I gotz me enough for a surprise attack... all that barrel cracking and splashing about!)
13 (Brandywise, to contest this, you must beat 18 on either a Strength (athletics) or Dexterity (acrobatics) check.)
(OOC: Will update a map once the grapple is determined. In this room: Virran (near barrels, south), Brandywise (door way), Naivara (secret door entrance), Stig (approaching Naivara's position).
Night Hawke: Elsewhere, currently inscribing her own tombstone.
Swift: Main cavern... near, doorway that she searched.
Asmodean: Strumming his loot (pun intended) after everyone left him to his some privacy.
Naivara reacts quickly and moves to cover Brandywise. She has been quietly admiring her new weapon and is ready to test it out.
“The Nothic was no match for us, fools... You will meet the same fate as that filthy creature, unless you let us know where that leader of yours is... Don’t think for a second that the three of you can take the four of us down.”
Naivara hopes that her shiny new sword helps her look as intimidating as she feels powerful. Intimidation check: 10
LSA is also surprised at the rebuk given to Stig. She wonders what caused the harsh words. Then she is further surprised by the rapid departure of Naivara and stig. She feels ignored... left talking to herself about possible directions the party could take. She shrugs. “Oh well“ she says to herself out loud, to fill the not so silent silence (after all there is some loot strumming going on... she can hear the jingle of coins as they are shuffled from hand to hand.
Once again she find herself left with the non-responsive Asmodean. She has been unsuccessful in winning a response from him on any the previous attempts she has made. She figures “well, buddy, you don’t talk, so I won’t either”. She grabs him by the collar and starts to pull him towards Northbridge more or less following the direction the others took.
She wonders where the mysterious night hawk has gone. Perhaps she would be better to find night hawk than to trail the others.

The strange night hawk who looked like she was sniffing the air around LSA after the battle. Hmmmm. She vaguely rembers seeing night hawk heading over the bridge and to the north. Apparently not in the same direction as the other party members. Poor hapless night hawk. What trouble might she get herself into this time... wandering off alone.
On reaching the bridge, with Asmodean still in tow, LSA directs A to cross ahead of her, fearing that if she crossed first, A would simply stop moving and start strumming his loot again, a strange dreamy look on his face.
Apparently responding to LSA's attempt at persuasion (21 is a bloody good outcome! Hope I rolled the right die!) A crosses the bridge. LSA follows once A has crossed.
Grabbing A's sleeve she begins to pull him along in the direction she thought night hawk took. LSA keeps her ears and eyes open for any signs that might hint of danger or night hawk's whereabouts. She also sniffs the air for any hint of odour that could indicate risk. She hopes A is also keeping a watch out. At least as she and A move along there's no sound of strumming of loot or lute... only the sound of their footfalls (is that an echo or are we being followed?) and the occasional chink and rustle of their accoutrements.

LSA is also feeling a bit peckish. She hopes she might spy some edible fungus that might soothe her grumbling stomach. There’s likely to be bugger all else down here out of the light (unless the redbrands are into hydroponics, but they probably haven’t got electricity when the wizard isn’t around to generate it so sustenance from a hydroponic garden is unlikely.
just in case its remotely possible to search for food while perceiving...
Feeling beyond her limits , sneakily, Night Hawke heads back towards the main room, and then up towards where she saw virran move earlier. As she is now by herself, she makes sure she is armed and ready for action.
seeing LSA and A in in the main room she says “ I’ve discovered some interesting parts to this dungeon, but I think it’s best we stick together. Let’s catch up with the others.”
Fierce and Brandywise engage in a struggle, and the Redbrand almost has him when the fighter throws up his arms. Sensing a loss at his attempt to grapple, Fierce moves back, allowing room for his fellows to position themselves well for the fight, the second making a quick attack as he fills the space near the doorway.
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Focusing his efforts into his single swipe, he is able to make use of the kerfuffle to hit with ferocity, hitting Brandywise hard. Brandywise takes 8 hit points of damage. (OOC - I deserved this small victory and delightful rolling!)
@At everyone - now time to roll for initiative. Asmodean, Swift and Night Hawke, you are not yet at the room. Check where you are on the map and proceed from there. You can roll for initiative and move at the appropriate time.
Night Hawke moves up the corridor, and into the room, first spying Virran rummaging by some food.
A yelp identifies her to the battle going on across the room, and she turns to figure out where she is best utilised. Noticing Bwbb injuries, she casts a healing word on him
@ Night Hawke - You can only move 30 feet during combat. That would allow you to move most of the way along the corridor, but not enough to see Brandywise. Your spell requires sight, so (as good as it is) that can't happen.
Virran pulls up the waterproof sack and checks to see if anything is inside
He also pries open a few crates and checks that's in them.
