Tora drops like a sack of potatoes, the shadows seemingly creeping around her unconscious form before Villanelle forces life back into her, the shadows recoiling away in a panic. Villanele's snarky comment barely reaches Tora's ears as she regain consciousness and she grumbles slightly. "I'm TRYING." She forces herself back to her feet and narrows her eyes at the last opponent. Her opponent.
Unleash the fury of an almost rekd character:

Attempt to knee the balls (maybe?) Attack: 10 Damage: 5
Villanelle again feels stronger after this battle, more in tune with the divine. But the divine power she feels inside her does not seem like it comes from the gods in the teachings of the Creed. It felt different, darker, even. She walks over to Father and coats her blade in black flames. "The dark power that Madison spoke of, the power she believed you were connected with, is this it?" She says, less horrified that she's possibly affiliated with it and more interested.
Dia watches Villanelle with no small amount of interest. Hmmm...I wonder what a soul connected to such power would bring. The devil turns away to check on Tora, still smiling at the new possibilities presenting themselves in her mind.
Tora hisses and stretches her sore limbs silently, feeling the pangs of the mind demons and madness toying with her inner power. When Dia approaches she's growling softly to herself and muttering. "Damn surprisingly strong annoying beasts." She makes an effort to kick the one she had punched to death a few more times with her foot aggressively.

Father had been glaring daggers at his now downed opponent when Villanelle approached him, the priests expression taking a moment to change to a more complacent one when he gives her his attention. A thick brow raises in interest at her new found ability, seemingly impressed with how one battle seemed to have made them all stronger. "Feels good, doesn't it?" He questions, his tone wicked, but he chuckles soon after, not giving her the time to really answer him. "It is a possibility, but I can't be the one to answer that. You should ask him yourself when you have a moment."

LEVEL THREE CHALLENGE - SKILL EPISODE THREE: "LIGHTING THE LAMPS"
Portia Browne, a young woman native to Driftchapel, is lighting gaslight lamps, desperately attempting to keep the monsters that lurk in the shadows at bay. Struggling against the damp winds, she quickly implores you all to help, handing you long poles with wicks and striking flints.
"The monsters stray from the light - so long as I keep the lamps lit..."
LOCATION:The Streets of Driftchapel, evening.
THE MECHANICS:Lighting the lamps in the damp wind requires three ability checks from each player, chosen randomly in this chaotic situation. As a group, you must pass a total of sixteen checks to complete this challenge. Anyone who rolls a natural 20 counts as two successes, and a nat1 counts as two failures. Below are the three checks you can make, in any particular order, but you cannot do the same one more than once. The checks listed are the ones you have to do.
THE DC IS 15 1 - STRENGTH: to hold the heavy pole aloft. 2 - DEXTERITY: to deftly light a lamp. 3 - CONSTITUTION: to resist the chill wind. 4 - INTELLIGENCE: to identify vital lamps. 5 - WISDOM: to time your actions between gusts. 6 - CHARISMA: to bolster allies and rally Portia.
Individually, each time you fail one of your checks, a number of shadow minions of Umbra equal to half the number of the difference you missed emerge from the Darkness and attack you each time, rounded up. For example, if you rolled a 10 on a DC15 check, you failed by 5, so 3 shadow minions attack you. If reduced to zero HP during this challenge, you will not die, but you will NOT level up for the next challenge. If anyone fails ALL THREE of their checks, the event is over for EVERYONE and NO ONE will advance a level for the next challenge - EVEN IF OTHERS HAVE PASSED. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once you have made your rolls, whether you pass or not, you are done. You get one shot.
Earlier: Dia gives Tora a smile. "Now then, you got it in the end." She blows the weretiger a kiss with a wink before going to listen in on Father and Villanelle's conversation.
“If you seek more protection, my dear, please head to my chapel~” Father advises Portia as he takes one of the lanterns.

LEVEL FOUR CHALLENGE - COMBAT EPISODE FOUR: "ROVING MADMEN"
LOCATION:The Streets of Driftchapel, evening.
The minds of the people of Driftchapel are addled, and the weak-willed have succumbed fully to the paranoia that has gripped the town. Wielding whatever makeshift weapons they can muster, the mad townsfolk take to the streets of Driftchapel to hunt the monsters among them - and any strangers they come across - including you.
MECHANICS:A large angry mob of 15 men and women is on the loose heading towards your location. The mad townsfolk comb the streets and alleyways of Driftchapel, wielding gaslight lanterns and makeshift weapons. They travel in a tight groups of people, peering through windows and pounding on doors.
Hide: If you pass a DC15 stealth check, you can hide successfully from the angry mob and wait till they pass. Since you are hidden, you will not be affected by this encounter, but might be made fun of by your new friends for your obvious actions of self preservation. If you don't want to, or fail, then you can either participate in combat or intimidation.
Intimidate: The townsfolk have been driven to violence, but only though the presence of Qatu and her followers. They cannot be reasoned with, but they can be influenced by fear. You can try and frighten the townsfolk into submission with a DC15 Intimidation check. Each of you who pass one check will remove one angry townsfolk from the group.
Combat: A few among the townsfolk wield flintlock rifles or pistol. They spot you all who are not hidden, and attack after everyone has either hidden, or intimidated. Then we will proceed with combat going back and forth.
Seeing as she is technically one of those monsters they're hunting, Dia decides to go ahead and deal with these townspeople head on.
Intimidation: 19+1=20
