The wasps land 10 feet away from you, their mandibles clicking as they cautiously size up their prey, ready to strike with their stingers anyone who approaches within reach.
Syl opens the palm of his hand and looks down at it. Focusing his energy, a long shard of ice forms within his hand as he whips it at the lead wasp. Casting Ice Knife
Attack: 19 Damage: 3
Hit or miss: The shard of ice explodes, sending tiny bits of cold shrapnel into the wasps. They must each succeed on a DC13 DEX save or take 5 damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ganod’s dart fails to puncture the wing but does impact the worn and scratched carapace of the “lead wasp”, one somewhat larger and certainly older than the others. It shares the center of the line with one that is only slightly less formidable, with the two wasps flanking them smaller still. You can see the yellow and black stripes on their furry abdomens in the light of the campfire.
Ludwig’s darts stun the creature and the two beside him, and Syl’s ice shard has it noticeably rattled.
The exploding shard’s blast catches the “lead wasp” and the two beside it in its radius.
The two larger wasps seem to momentarily succumb to the cold as it catches them in its blast, while the smallest one ducks out of the way before feeling its effect.
Only the wasp on your right has not been harmed.
Suddenly, the “lead” wasp springs into the air and flies off into the darkness, followed by the smallest of the four.
The second largest, however, shakes off the cold and charges at Ludwig, stabbing with its sting, dripping with venom
Syl: Would you like to use one of your luck points on your save or anything that has happened since your last turn?
(By which I mean the wasp’s attack against you. I was a little hasty in announcing the outcome and had forgotten you have luck points,)
I hadn’t worked out how I was going to allow you to use your feat in this format, so assume I used the conditional language: If X hits, take Y damage and make a Z save.
Same goes for uses of reactions, like the shield spell.
If not, we can let the results stand. I’ll wait for Ludwig’s save before continuing.
When the wasp turns to Ganod, he raises an eye brow and looks down at his friends before looking back up at the wasps, "....what, something on my face?" Then slashes at the first one with his blade.
Ganod wakes up with a groan, thirsty and sober....not his favorite combinations.

Syl, Ludwig, Ganod, what do you do?
Ganod tsks and quickly throws out a throwing dart to tear into the lead wasp's wing, "Aim for the wings, we don't want them to be up in the air!"
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
"Let's see how these vermin like my arcane sting."
I cast magic missle, hitting each wasp with a bolt.
Wasp 1: 3
Wasp 2: 5
Wasp 3: 4

The other wasp goes for Syl.

Ludwig takes 3 points of damage as the wasp’s sting penetrates his defenses.
Syl takes 8 points of piercing damage.
Both of you, make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw.

I'll use one on my CON save: 15

To clarify the stakes, you’ll still take half damage on a successful save. I should have said so before.
Also, I should have said you and Ludwig are saving against poison. You can feel it coursing through your veins.
OK. I'll stick with the 15 and use a luck point. Hopefully I survive the poison.

Okay, just waiting on Ludwig now...
"Ah, I'm stung!"

With luck on his side, Syl fights off the worst effects of the wasp’s venom, nevertheless taking 5 poison damage.
Ludwig is not so lucky and takes 9 poison damage.
Syl and Ludwig, overwhelmed by the venom in their bodies, fall to the ground, stiffening with paralysis. They are unconscious but stable.
The giant wasps turn their attention to you, Ganod. What do you do?
A look of horror flashes over my face. "It wasn't supposed to be like this."
When the wasp turns to Ganod, he raises an eye brow and looks down at his friends before looking back up at the wasps, "....what, something on my face?" Then slashes at the first one with his blade.
Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Your machete cracks into the first wasp’s shell, and it collapses to the ground as a thin liquid gushes forth, pale yellow in the firelight.
The second wasp stands within reach of your unarmed strike, should you choose to make one at this time.
