Several creatures like death tyrants and basilisks says "It must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the creature is petrified until freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic." What other magic could reverse the petrification?
"Other magic" could specifically mean Wish, or a vague magic ritual that the DM invents because the party doesn't have access to the "real" cures. I'd guess it's written that way for future proofing as well; they probably didn't want to hard-code "this is the only way to remove the condition" and not leave themselves any room for new healing spells in the future.
