I am going to go out on a limb here - you could try asking your DM. Let's face it, without their approval, nothing any of us here suggest is going to give you the advantage over others you are seeking.
Better yet, spend some gold on research - DMs love it when characters do that: spending all your money on research makes you poor and gives you an incentive for crawling through some dank dungeon, and research uncovers clues to the locations of such underground fungrounds or whatever other hooks the DM will drop before your unseeing eyes....or maybe it just leads you to other avenues of research.
So why do you NEED tremorsense/blindsight again?
PS - have you tried face-planting into a puddle of radioactive waste material?

Roleplaying since Runequest.
I wouldn't say it's needed. More wanted. Because it's incredibly flavorful and potentially thematic.
And spending money on research isn't ideal.
Journey to uncover the maguffin/gain a unique ability.
Vs
Journey to get money to research the maguffin.
I feel like most players would feel as if they have more agency in a story if they acted directly rather then working for money.
Personally I try to escape my capitalist prison via role play.
