ok so for some background i always loved dragonlance so with that said... i found one underrated character Tika Waylan who started out as a server who elegantly avoided tavern guests hands (assuming high dex) and barley able to swing a sword but brought shield bashing to an art form. so what suggestions to build her
you could take her official stats in the 1e adventures and convert to 5e. You just have to pick an adventure which is like a slice in time if you pick
BTW through multiple adventure stat block - Frying pan 1d8 dmg (occasionally listed as 1d6 dmg). and says she uses shield to pummel/bash opponents. consistency was not a thing for stat blocks throughout these modules. they were all in the 1e rulesets, so either authors or editors should have tried just a little harder, I know times were different, but some things should have been obvious.
DL1 had 1 line npc stat block that is not in line with rest of modules, stats did change slightly from dl2 to rest of dls, her wisdom dropped which I think were swapped with dex, but she should have a high dex 16, but I think should also have a higher than 12 wisdom, based on the character.
Not sure why DL5 stepped her level back from DL3&4.

By her official stats, she's a fighter. The Tavern Brawler feat is rather obvious so she can smack people with her frying pan.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
lol thats what i thought too was hoping for more
