Okay cool that's what I was hoping but wasn't sure, because some could have limitation, so I didn't want to make it and have it with features that couldn't happen, but thanks for info helps alot. I was going to write my backstory but I wanted to make sure of some of those features before starting. So thanks again
As much as I agree this choices should be at exclusive discretion of the player, I'd still see if your DM is ok with your character having very few obvious elemental traits (at-will fiery mane aside). I say this just because the description and indications in the races descriptions are there in order to give an idea of how a member of that race might look like, and ease the descriptions by the DM and therefore recognition chance by the players of NPC, but the same should be valid the other way around, as NPCs might behave differently when they see the half-elf pointy ears, or straightaway be suspicious of an half-orc or tiefling, effectively making the race and aspect a story element that can variate little (or big, if for example there is a witch-hunt against, let's say, half-elves) details.
It's all a matter of making sure the DM is ok with it. The character is yours to decide how he/she looks like, of course, I just want to point out that the races description are there for a specific reason.
Just echoing the others that you have a lot of room to describe how your character looks as long as you don't come up with anything too far out of the norm for your DM's world. (For example, wanting to play a 7-foot tall dwarf might warrant a discussion with the DM.) :)
If you want some historical precedent, the first appearance of the genasi back in the 1996 "Planewalker's Handbook" for Planescape described overall genasi appearance as:
Their elemental nature is often extremely evident. Individuals nearly always display a physical characteristic or two that reveals they are more than simply human — skin or hair color, a special aura, or some other such manifestation almost always marks them.
And fire genasi in particular as:
The physical appearance of these individuals usually includes one or more of the following traits:
Deep red or coal black skin
Deep red hair moving on its own like waving flames
A voice crackling like the sound of a fire burning
Perpetually warm flesh, even hot to the touch
Fiery red eyes glowing with the intensity of flames
So, personally, I think your fire genasi sounds like he fits right in with how they have been portrayed for quite a while (and sounds pretty cool!).
Can a fire genasi's skin be the color of a white male or does it need to be like red, grey or black?
Do they grow hair? Or can I have mine be bald but can like make fire come off his head when he wants to and go away?
Do they all have to have tattoos on their body somewhere or can they have none?
Thanks for the help

Born in Italy, moved a bunch, living in Spain, my heart always belonged to Roleplaying Games
