With D&D One on the horizon I want to say my feedback on addressing the lack of combat versatility that martials have. (We aren't touching the even worse martial utility) The fact is, some D&D players want "simple" martial classes where you just spam the attack action, while others want more complex gameplay when it comes to martials, and a good compromise would be to have other actions scale with extra attack, as at level 5 and beyond, taking any action which isn't the Cast a Spell or Attack actions is typically incredibly unoptimal! What do I mean, well at level 5 when you gain extra attack, you gain improvements to the other actions as well! What would be even cooler is if you get to choose from lists of abilities which improve other actions, only one ability per different action type could be taken, or your subclass would give you improvements to other actions! "But this isn't simple!" It's actually very simple! Spamming the attack action (AKA "hehe bonk") is still viable with this idea provided that every action improvement is balanced well! What do you think?
