The DMG and lots of other sourcebooks have the same style of map - search up "Map of Phandalin" or "Map of Faerûn" on Google and look at the first result. That's the style. I love the art in these maps, especially because they're simple but aesthetic. I've been wanting to make my own map of a similar style, but what do I use? I have Inkarnate, but is that the best? I want to replicate the style as closely as possible.

Take a look at Arkenforge. It has a 30 day free trial.
However, also queue up their tutorials. I feel they overcomplicated the process.
