I'm looking to duplicate the Regional Maps from 'CurseofStrahd,' and 'IcewindDale: RimeoftheFrostmaiden,' along with anything from small cities to your average village. I currently own Dungeondraft and Wonderdraft (the latter one I haven't used much) and while I *love* Dungeondraft for my battlemaps, it really doesn't work well for anything beyond a collection of houses around a town square, like a hamlet. Again I have not used Wonderdraft that much and while I'm willing to bet it could be used for creating Barovia or Icewind Dale, I don't think it could create any of the towns in those locations (if I'm wrong, let me know).
I'm looking for what you see as your favorite tool when it comes to designing or duplicating Regional Maps (somewhat close in, certainly not the whole world or large continents), and the same for anything from large villages to small cities. I'm aware of a number of them, but I just wanted the communities input along with to help me better decide, especially as I'm looking at a premium service for certain.
Edit: I'm leaning towards Inkarnate, although it's a subscription service rather than something I could just own outright. Anyone have any bad experiences or cons they'd like to offer?
I've only ever used Campaign Cartographer 3 (with a bunch of DLCs). It was only briefly and couldn't figure out how to use it in the 15 minutes I had to spare. I only mention it because it's on Humble at the moment.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Yeah, I remember a much older Campaign Cartography from maybe 15 years ago or more. I had the same issue of a total lack of easy access. I'm actually surprised they're still around but I suppose I shouldn't be.

Yes, I'll give a vote for Inkarnate. I've used it often and still, though it can be frustrating. I wish they applied somethings differently. Note; it's good for general maps of worlds, landscapes and towns, etc. It doesn't do dungeons well, but it can be done. imho

Other World Mapper might provide some ability to generate overland maps.
