I want to use power ups like in cod such as max ammo and instakill, but most of them have to do with ammo or guns. What do you guys think I could do instead?
If you're talking consumables, you could have a stimpack or something, basically functioning identically to a health potion.
No I mean like max ammo and instakill etc. But not a bad idea
I want to help you out, but I'm not omniscient, so I need to know what exactly we're working with here. How do these powerups work? Do they just apply to you instantly when you pick them up, or are they more like items? What exactly does each one do? Is there anything else we need to know?

I want power ups that have some effect immediately like an extra attack that turn or gain temp hp or something of that nature. I appreciate the help

Alright, so you could have them be picked up by simply moving over them, requiring no action, assuming that's how it works in Call of Duty. Now let me ask you, how does each individual powerup work? Let's take Max Ammo, for instance. Does that top your ammo counter off, increase your ammo maximum, something different? And Instakill as well. Does that instantly kill the next enemy you hit, or something?
fighting anything or fighting an undead horde? then instakill could be something like 5 radiant damage / monster's CR. sorry for the math, but that means a CR 1/4 zombie or skeleton takes 20 radiant plus their weapon. nearly guaranteed one-shot of peons. but a tougher ghoul takes only 5 radiant damage extra with the power up. might be a potion with a time limit or a rod with a set number of uses. or it might be a rune on the floor that empowers whomsoever stands there temporarily.
other tokens might be health potions, giant's strength potions, ring of invisibility, summon a unicorn, incense that acts as a barrier, bear traps, immovable rod, seige weapons, war horses, scroll of rope trick, etc.
One way to do the powerups would be to use modified spell gems - normally each holds a single spell and can only be used if the holder has that spell on their class list. Then they can cast it and, after attuning to the gem they can place a new spell in it. In your case the gems are onetime use for anyone - perhaps they have to be crushed and that activates the spell on the individual that crushes the gem. That would give you all sorts of potential effects as powerups but you’ll have to seed the “dungeon” with a lot of gems.

Potions and scrolls, if you’re looking for 1-time, short term stuff.
Kind of but more like if they kill 2 zombies in one turn they get another attack or something like that. But I appreciate the feedback
What are the cod power ups you're talking about? The community can help a lot more if you give them a direction.
I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
Like the max ammo and instakill. Are there other powerups I'm not aware of?

max ammo can be a refill of a found bag of holding with holy water (flask)s inside. pray at scattered shrines to refill.

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: provide feedback!
