Is there a DDB equivalent of a Dungeon Master's Screen, Dungeon Master's Screen Reincarnated, campaign specific DM Screens or a way to build a DM screen using sections from these that link to rules and rolls like the campaign sources do?
If not are these on the road map? Can they be suggested somehow?
We don't have anything to announce at this time, but a lot of the things we are working on are pieces of the puzzle that will be a digital DM screen. If you do have any suggestions for things you would find helpful on a DM screen, please let us know!
Firstly: A simple copy of the Dungeon Master's Screen, Dungeon Master's Screen Reincarnated and Campaign specific DM screens from Gale Force Nine, available with hyperlinks to the sections of the rules in the dndbeyond source material. That's what I'm familiar with using and will be nice to get those in a tab I can flip between as per running the game.
Then: including the notes pane on the same page so I can read/edit notes as I go.
Then: Once I have purchased/have access to those, being able to make a campaign specific DM screen as part of a campaign that is just being able to combine the DM screens that I have, like stacking the physical DM screens next to each other.
Then: A campaign specific player tracker with player cards for the active players in the campaign containing: player name, player portrait, current/max HP, passive perception, link to full character sheets.
Then: Customising DM screen, being able to pick and mix and organise sections of the DM screens I have purchased and the player tracker/ notes into a customised DM screen for the campaign.
Then: a pane that contains the encounters in the campaign that I can use to open up the combat tracker, for this it would be good to be able to mark encounters as complete or some way to order the encounters in the campaign.
What I would much more prefer is for DM's to be able to have a sort of "DM Screen" of character basic info while looking at a campaign page. For example, if you are the DM and have a campaign on DNDBeyond with characters in it, looking at the campaign page could display not just the characters, but their AC, current/max HP, any spell save DC's, passive perception, etc. That way DM's can have a quick reference page while playing rather than having to write all that down.
Something like the following, only officially integrated into the site:
The info on the DM Screen would be VERY useful in some digital format. For the monsters, the Encounter builder works very well for doing quick things with them and clicking to roll into the VTT for any of the attacks and abilities. For the PCs, a large screen and many tabs are the key... I just open each of the PCs on their own tab and can quickly check any of their info. I also will add AC and HP to their tokens on the VTT as well (need better hiding options on the monsters, but that's not a DNDBeyond issue) if I need higher visibility. A simplified format where I could see all of them at once would be nice though, but at least the info is their right now.
I have used that one, it was a bit slow and buggy honestly. But what I think would be cool is if the DNDBeyond team integrated something like that to be official.
It would also be nice to have the game log as part of it so you can see player rolls. And the ability to quickly reference spells, fetas , attacks, etc specific to the players in your campaign.
PC: I want to cast "bane"
And then as they cast it in the game log you can give over the log item and and a quick view appears with that spell so you can review it quickly.
If you use the extension Beyond20 alongside a VTT, you can do that! The extension gives you the option to broadcast attacks, spells, feats, etc., and it'll even auto roll attacks and damage. I use it for my online-only game. Whenever one of my players wants to cast a spell I have them link it to the VTT game chat and everybody can see it.
No, they just need to be logged in to whatever VTT you're using. Usually when you click on a spell or action, etc, it brings up the sidebar on the right side of the screen? Then at the top right of the sidebar there is a button that says "Beyond20" or something, just click that and it should broadcast whatever feature you're looking at into the chat of an active VTT window.
Forreal, how's this coming along? I'm just having to either make a "DM'' whole azz dummy character or open maps for the dice roller. Both kinda hassle-y. Can we get an auto toon setup for DMs?

Did the road map get lost? how far along has this come in the past 4 years? We should have something by now either on the campaign manager screen or encounter tracker.

There isn't any in particular. You could always have one customer made by certain websites like blue heron workshop
Hello!
A digital DM screen is absolutely on our roadmap! https://www.dndbeyond.com/feature-roadmap

You may find this chrome plugin of use : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dd-beyond-campaign-dm-scr/oiajbaepngjfcgimlkaedfkdjkklkfhh
Hmmm... yeah, there's a lot of useful information that way... and doesn't need multiple tabs unless you want more info...

I have used beyond20, but I guess I haven't figured out that feature. Does everyone need to use that extension to make it work?

The DND beyond mobile app has a campaign view that seems good. I also just found but haven't tried the unofficial looking chrome extension
Where are we at with this?
There are already extensions that do this, and the lack seems a crazy oversight.
I Cancelled my Master Tier Subscription January 12th 2023 because of "OGL" 1.1 - Resubscribed 28th of Jan, now the SRD is in CC-BY-4.0
