Need a bit of help making a Fallout: Texas setting, I'm currently working on trying to flesh out some things for a group of my friends as a anniversary gift. we've been playing together for ten years now, we all love fallout, and i'm wanting to do something special for them, but I think I need a bit of help with some things, mainly Factions and new creatures/enemies, special locations, etc.
So far, the things I DO have are a faction around 'The Texas Rangers', mutated hogs, Mutated armadillos, and a settlement in the old Cowboy's football stadium. And before anyone mentions the Alamo, I didn't forget it, it's likely going to be a FOB for the Texas Rangers
Well, if you're going to use D&D rules (I'd honestly recommend a different system like GURPS or Shadowrun), one thing you'll need is rules for radiation.
When it comes to mutated animals, you can just reskin existing D&D monsters like Bulettes for armadillos or giant boars for mutated hogs.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Fallout actually has its own TTRPG system, which you can find here. I've actually heard good things about it, and would recommend looking at it first before trying to hack 5e into a non-magical setting; most of the classes in the game are magical, and all of the interesting item to give your characters are magic items.

I write homebrew and don't publish it. (evil, I know)
