So I'm writing a campaign, made an entire world map using worldspinner, and I'm curious for some input, gonna be kind of vague on the actual story bits but the basics are as follows.
The adventurers all meet on a dock as they arrive in the new land, each has recieved a letter inviting them to join in a tournament in the capital and they're greeted by the knight captain as she guides them around. After they finally get to the tournament before it begins the towns attacked by the big bad and they end up having to flee through a portal. So the adventure starts and they have to proceed through the land discovering how they can stop the big bad and what his quest is.
Theres a total of 7 main boss encounters 3 mini bosses, 2 sub bosses and the main fight is a 2 part fight, as well as a bunch of side quests . And if you manage to encounter all 7 of the previous champions of the land it alters how the final confrontation plays out.
Usually in this kind of set-up there are more mini-bosses then bosses. I'm assuming your using a Bioware style story structure. Please specify what you mean by "sub-bosses". Perhaps you should also tell us about the areas. In KOTOR it goes: starting area, first world, second world, four different worlds in your choice of order, final world, final dungeon; I figure your story is roughly the same set-up.
I have a whole world map I just cant post pictures here, theres 3 necromancers who worship the big bad, he has 2 body guards, and then him, theres about 15 cities and a ton of small points for sidequests,
