How do I add the AD&D Oriental Adventures manual into the Beyond? I’m hoping to use some of the feats and weapons. Or do I have to homebrew everything?
Xanathar's guide has some of the classes from that book as 5.0 classes. The maps, monsters, and lore isn't available here. However, you can probably find digital maps with a google search. I would love to see a Kara Tur campaign setting with all those subclass, and species options included.
You cannot directly import anything, as others have noted.
You can homebrew *some* of it, to update it to 5e era style and rules. However...
There will be no martial arts styles or approaches.
There will be no Non-Weapon Proficiencies (you could turn them into Feats, though).
There will be no Wu-Jen or Shukenja (the current system does not enable creating new Classes, only Subclasses, and these to do not fit into the existing paradigm without altering their fundamental basis because the approach to magic is so different.).
You could import some of the Species (races) into the current edition (some are already present).
1st Edition OA was a startlingly different take on the game as a whole, and not one that many online today see in a positive way. The obvious reason s the Orientalism, but more critical is the fact that it was intentionally non-Eurocentric, and the systems and tools it introduced do not "play well" with existing 5e systems.

many of the martial arts styles could be reflavored as weapon mastery in the 5.24 edition. It would require the creation of many home brew weapons that are renamed as martial art attacks, while retaining the appropriate weapon classification.
Some of the Battle Master abilities are similar as well, and could be added via home brew feats to mimic some of the rules.
I would guess most of the weapons would have been published as shared home brew content already, but the rest of the rules would be difficult to implement. But maybe not as daunting a task as it sounds.
There is no way to import old stuff like that, especially not with the word "Oriental" in it. You will just have to do some serious customizing and Homebrewing and I don't know what that's going to look like.
They were going to bring back OA but there was a big online protest by a major Asian organization group and it got dropped.
I would love to see the evidence for this.
The only major challenge of the last decade has been an ask for the 1st Edition book to be removed from the DM's Guild marketplace. And that was a small group of folks wo got a slightly outsized bit of coverage in gaming press. Never hit mainstream.
Not the 3rd edition version, just the 1st edition.
There's been no mention that I am aware of about a "new edition" for 20 years. Anywhere.

The lore doesn't need "update" and you can find about Kara-Tur in the wiki of Forgotten Realms.
WotC would rather classes and subclasses not to be too linked to some civilitation from the real life, but these could be used in different settings.
There is a Rokugan 5ed published by Fantasy Flight Games, but those classes weren't designed to be compatible with the rest of D&D and their "power" aren't so simple and easy to understand for the current WotC's standars for 5e.
Some 3PPs have created their own "jianghu/isekai" settings. Maybe someones could appear in the future here in D&DBeyond.
I would also be interested to see a source. Like AEDorsay, I also don't recall WotC expressing interest in revisiting OA or there being any protest of the same.
Yes, D&D is largely centered on European fantasy tropes and settings. And the current creative folks in charge at WotC rightly recognize that doing any new content based on non-European real-world societies and customs requires respect, care, awareness, and sensitivity. I can't fault them for deciding not to do it rather than doing it poorly.
Radiant Citadel is a clear example no-Western cultures are wellcome in D&D but now there are different rules. And Magic: the Gathering has got several planes based in no-Western civilitations.
For our own point of view a sourcebook about "jianghu & isekai" would be wellcome to help to know better other societies, but... it's not so simple. WotC is very interested into Japanese market and otaku community, but these need special strategies. Japanese fandom would rather isekai fantasy with a western look. WotC tried to enter within Chinese market with Magic cards and they have got some experience...
But a jianghu/isekai D&D setting could be useful to promote the sales of the psionic powers and the (future update) martial adept classes (Tome of Battle: Book of the nine swords).
I could say something more but these would be serious matters about the real life and these may be not right for this forum.
Wow, I’m going through old Dragon magazines (up to issue 260 abouts). There was a series on African culture, gods, style techniques.
It became Chult.

Both Kara Tur and Zakhara were early attempts to expand d&d past its European ethos base. They were nteresting but , sadly, never developed enough of a following to really be profitable so TSR/WOtC fairly quickly lost interest in maintaining them. I doubt we will ever see either one resurrected as a product yes, both are technically part of Faerun today but that was mostly a 3e “solution” to what to do with them for those that had them and wanted to use them.

Only content for D&D 5th Edition (5E) - featured in D&D materials published from 2014 to the present - are available on D&D Beyond.

Is there at least a way to import some of the weapons? Like a DLC type of scenario?
Afraid not, the site was only ever designed for 5e. Anything else you’ll need to home brew
You could do some homebrewing, but you can’t homebrew mundane items unfortunately. You could re-name existing items, or homebrew them as magic items.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Just hoping. sigh. Thanks.

I do not see anyone protesting all that anime cartoon stuff coming out so why just D&D now?
I can see a huge empty area of interest not being filled by the WoTC community right now.
Middle eastern empires and all those encompass. Chinese, Japanese and the rest of the far Eastern empires. D&D is pretty much European centrist.
There are so many good forgotten myths and stories in those empires.
There is just so much that can be added in that does not include religion.

We can find native writers from all those areas.
We can skip past religion in those areas.
All of those areas have what they consider ancient myths. Myths that would or could be acceptable in D&D.
