As a 2 campaign deep new player I've only received started using the app and am absolutely loving the versatility and accessibility it provides.
However there are a few things that I'm struggling with and would like your help, suggestions and personal experiences with.
1. One of my fellow players received the ability to add 10 points to her base health. From the app we found you have the ability to add Temporary HP. Add Max HP modifyer and override Max HP. However these all seem to reset by default after a long rest. Do all of you just switch the character creator to set HP manual and change it there or is what I described previously the better way to do it?
2. When it comes to note taking in the app, do you add random people of importance to your allies and enemies tab (likely below and separated from your companions)? And what about objectives and places of interest. Are those just ik your "other section"? Let me know how you approach these things so I might find a way to keep my character sheet in the app tidy.
3. I've seen that there is a special tab below the inventory for "other possessions". I myself enjoy making custom items for whenever I receive something or find something. That way I can add a fun description. My question for you is when you personally make a custom item and when you just add something to the "other possessions" or if you use only one or the other. Just curious.
4. While we're at it. Anyone able to tell me when attuned items come in to play or what they even are to begin with.
5. I've noticed that some ritual spells are located in the spell tab and allow you to use a spell slot. However one of my companions told me ritual spells don't require a slot to be used. So why then do I still have the option to do so? Is this a fault in the app or is this something that a spell can become as a perk if your class?
Sorry if this is a lot but these are just some things I'd like to know and hear your takes on to further improve my experience.

You need to uncheck the Reset Maximum HP changes during this rest. The max HP modifier and override max HP options are intended for temporary HP drain effects and will be reset by default on a long rest. For a persistent change, you should create a magic item or feat.
Entirely down to how you prefer to take notes. No two people will take notes in the exact same way
If the item has a mechanical effect or needs to be equipped, I'll make a homebrew item for my players. Otherwise they'll jot it down in other possessions. For example, if they find a gem worth 20gp, then they'll write that down.
Attunement is a rule for limiting how many items of a certain level of power you can have equipped. You can check out the rules on attunement
Some spells, such as identify can be cast with either a spell slot or as a ritual. Casting using spell slots is faster, but casting as a ritual saves you the slot. That's why you have both options
