Are there any official modules for FoundryVTT? Similar to the way that Paizo officially supports playing via FoundryVTT, and has published official Foundry modules for several of their Pathfinder 2e adventure paths?
I really want to use a VTT, but want to stay as far away from Roll20 as possible?
My only other option seems to be to use the Discord bot, and run theatre of the mind games with a psudo VTT in the form of MS Teams screen sharing. Which didn't work out when I tried it.
:(
Thanks.

The only three digital tool sets D&D officially supports are Beyond, Fantasy Grounds, and Roll20. If you want an officially supported VTT option, the only other one would be Fantasy Grounds.

That makes me a little sad, but I guess it's down to the differences in the way Wizards license their products compared to Paizo, and the fact that I believe Paizo is an official partner of FoundryVTT. Though I'm surprised Wizards don't sell Foundry module bundles.
I could be tempted to run D&D on Fantasy Grounds, but I'm not sure I understand how it works.
It sets up a game server on the computer you install it on?
The reason I like FoundryVTT is that I can run it on a server, housed in a data centre with a direct Internet connection, so anyone can visit the game site address like vtt.mydomain.com and login to the game, provided I have created them a user account.
Or is it like Roll20, where I can't self-host, and need to pay a subscriptoon fee?

While the support on Foundry VTT for 5e is unofficial, it's actually quite excellent. There are plugins for D&D beyond, scrapers and all sorts of fancy tools. In a lot of ways the VTT Foundry support for 5e is way better than anything official from Wizards of The Coast for the other platforms.
I think Wizards is working on a VTT to be released at some point as an official option, but I last heard about it a while ago and I'm not sure what the status is at the moment.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
The Foundry support for 5e is only SRD but as mentioned a few modules/plugins and it's quite frankly amazin. I think I'm at about 60 active modules now. I fully self host and scrape characters from D&D Beyond into the game. Very easy once you take a few minutes to learn it.

This. They’re making their own, so I doubt you’ll see them expanding to more 3rd party sites. Last announcement said they hoped to have some kind of testing (maybe an open beta, but I don’t remember exactly) by the end of this year. Otherwise there have been some sizzle reel style videos, but no more details.
I run Foundry and own maybe 2/3rds of the currently available books on here. There's nothing I own on DDB that I can't access Via Foundry - I pay 2x subscription fees. One for my server and one Patreon sub $5/month for access to the Importer feature.
Foundry's awesome for running 5e, but more importantly it really opens the ability to play other systems as well and I think that's super-healthy for the TTRPG community and D&D as a whole too. You can self-host with Foundry or go the paid/server route (I did), but obviously subscriptions/micro-transactions DO add up and something I try to avoid + actively think they're VERY unhealthy for the hobby overall.
Every time I play an R20 game something's horribly broken/inaccessible - I'd rather use Owlbear Rodeo, which is "cheap and cheerful" but it works and I set the bar for my expectations to "Owlbear Mode". R20 seems like it should work "well", yet my expectations there are always "frustrated" lol.
What I would love now is that any books you own through DnDBeyond would be free for you to use on Foundry. That’s not likely to happen though as WotC hasn’t done that with roll20 material (as I understand it - don’t use roll20). But we could at least get a ”top off” offer - say you pay 29.99 for the DnDBeyond book and add 5 bucks to get the foundry or roll20 version too.

DDB Importer + Adventure Muncher (granted Adventure quality won't be same level as Premium)
Is Foundry actually good? I used to use Roll20, but people seem to have a problem with it?
Foundry is the best VTT in my opion.
I would say Core 5e (2.4.1) have about the same functionality as Roll20, yet having the Character sheet stored on the token is huge benefit, as you don't need a second tab open and with modules like Midi is able to almost automate Combat.
Core 5e (3.0.x) is league ahead of Roll20, as navigating the Character sheet is no longer a nightmare, do currently comes ad the cost of not having Automation.
TL:DR: Foundry huge benefit over Roll20 is Token with functionality and modules been able to add features to system + Foundry Discord community is very helpful.
Foundry issued a press release last week announcing a partnership with hasbro. It apparently covers 5e and also 6e when it arrives. The press release FAQ also states that Foundry will continue to support 5e. How they will do that, I am unsure of, but Foundry is unlikely to lie about such an explicit statement.
