Death monk ability to negate all but one health point work with echo knight’s stand in? I have a 10th level goblin death monk and I’m hoping that mechanism works.
Beginning at 11th level, you use your familiarity with death to escape its grasp. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to have 1 hit point instead.
So basically you just use a ki point not to die and keep one hit point. I don't know anything about the Echo Knight so I can't say if it's a stand in. I suppose you just don't die or fall unconscious as long as you have ki points you're willing to spend.
then you cannot use extra attack or action surge, as those abilities are class dependent. echo knight has lost its luster IF thats true. extra attack is only granted, action surge as well. I'm saying you might be correct and an echo knight is only represented by a base offering or only has a basic understanding of your self. But if you read the very first line of the EK it is your representative, in your own unique way. it should have ki. because you do. or if you are a barbarian, you would have rage. or at least connected to it through you but i digress

The DDB Admins have no connection to the rules other than every other user here. For that you probably need to try and contact the game devs from WotC.
However, at your question:
What the echo has and can do is completely written down in the rules text. The echo has no additional functions.

look. the echo is an object. all it allows you to do is make any Attacks you have (which DOES include extra attack, by the way) from the echo's position as if you were there. It, being an object, is not actually you and thus cannot make use of the class feature to keep itself at 1 hp, because it is an Object with no abilities in and of itself. The echo is an OBJECT, not a creature, it isn't alive, and it has no ki.
Echo Barbarians can rage, and Reckless Attack through the echo, because the Reckless Attack is an attack, which you make through the echo's space. It has no bearing on what the echo does or does not have. Echo Monks can stunning strike, or even Flurry of Blows from the echo's space, but cannot save the echo through the feature you mentioned because *it* has no ki, and *it* is not you.
"Beginning at 11th level, you use your familiarity with death to escape its grasp. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to have 1 hit point instead." as you can see, it says when *YOU* are reduced to 0 hit points... the echo is not you, therefore cannot be saved, even if it did have ki of its own (which, being an object with no actions and not a creature, it does not.)
think of the echo as a portal, through which you can make attacks. That's it. it isn't a living thing.
Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
Well then, no complaints in the face of that comprehensive answer. I had a sneaking suspicion. If anyone asks, I’ll lay down that portal explanation. Every day there is another opportunity to explain it all over again, thanks for taking the time

o7 I do want to apologize, I probably came off as a bit heated and rude. But I'm glad the portal explanation sold it in the end. Honestly, while echo knight is written badly... oh well.

Here's what Mastery of Death says.
Beginning at 11th level, you use your familiarity with death to escape its grasp. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to have 1 hit point instead.

If you area asking if you can keep an echo alive if it takes damage using the monk feature. Short answer: no
The Echo is not use and it does not gain your class features. So it does not have the 11th level monk feature nor does it have ki
then you cannot use extra attack or action surge, as those abilities are class dependent. echo knight has lost its luster IF thats true. extra attack is only granted, action surge as well.
