Simple question I cant seem to find an answer too. Hoping a mod, or someone smarter than me can help. One of my characters(on their dnd beyond character sheet) has additional damage shown in brackets or "grayed out" for both their weapons. I'm curious as to why and when the weapons would get this bonus?
Those weapons have the versatile property meaning that they do higher damage when held with two hands. The second, greyed damage is the damage when held with two hands. Also, both hands cannot be used when holding a shield.

eg:
That is the Versatile properties of the weapons. The sheet shows you the different die if you hold the weapon with two hands.
