Hey, I've been messing around with homebrew for campaigns with friends as of late within the DnDBeyond homebrew system, and for the most part, it's been coming pretty intuitively, but getting subclasses are still completely elusive to me.
I've been trying to give a Sorcerer subclass a set of spells that they know by default, similarly to the new TCoE Sorcerer subclasses - for example, the Clockwork Soul sorcerer receives Alarm, Aid, Dispel Magic and several others for "free" as they level up.
Thus far, all I've managed was to "expand" their spell list by making it so they can pick these spells manually, but that's not the intent, because it still costs a valuable spell known slot that Sorcerers have far too few of. Any clue on how to correctly do it?
(apologies if this is the wrong subforum; usually lurker-only myself)
There should be a bubble that can list the spells as "learned" or "known." Try to find that and click it.
These buttons?

Using them - or at least the way I'm using it right now, I assume I'm missing something - enables a dropdown menu where I can select between the spells listed rather than auto-learn/auto-prepare all of them, like this:

My only good homebrews: Races, Subclasses.
An aspiring DM and Homebrewer. Ask me if you need anything.
