At first, I wanted this to be part of a Rogue subclass, but now I'm wondering if it'd fit better with a Fighter. For some background, the subclass is sort of like Swashbuckler for Rogues, but more focused on fighting 10 feet away:
"When you are wielding a melee weapon that you are proficient with in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon. Additionally, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. You may add an extra 1d4 damage to the second attack, as long as it is not a Sneak Attack. The damage type matches the type of the weapon used.
"The damage for the second attack increases when you reach certain levels in this class. The damage increases to 2d4 at 5th level, 4d4 at 10th level, and 7d4 at 15th level."
The feature was written for Rogues, but now I'm wondering if I should swap this over to a Fighter subclass...
Disregarding balance and/or functionality (I'm going to playtest this a LOT and make plenty of changes), what do you think? I'm leaning towards Fighter, because of the extra damage and attacking part...
