If you hear or see an ally be knocked unconscious (DC10) or die(DC15), you must succeed a stress save, if you fail you will given a random Affliction, if you succeed, you are given a random virtue, if you succeed, you gain immunity from any stress/resolve saves whilst under the effect of a Virtue, these saves are treated like death saves, no bonuses
Afflictions:
Fearful: Become frightened of 1 random enemy for 2 turns.
Paranoid: Become frightened of a random ally for 2 turns.
Masochistic: Force all enemies to attack you for 2 turns.
Abusive: Every turn for 2 turns, attack the nearest creature.
Virtues:
Focused: Gain a +3 to your attack rolls for 4 turns.
Powerful: Gain a +3 to your damage rolls for 4 turns.
Courageous: Gain Immunity to all frighten, charm and stun effects for 4 turns.
Toughened: Gain Resistance to all damage for 4 turns
I really like the idea of this. Maybe consider making the effects less severe though. I can see them changing the tide of a battle VERY quickly. Unless that is what you were going for, then by all means! I'm just imagining a situation where every PC gets unlucky and fails, then all kill each other and you have a TPK on your hands. That would be no fun.

my party doesnt mind the difficulty, plus i made it so enemies can be afflicted and given virtues as well, through seeing their comrades fall or nat 20 intimidation check
