Short Context: Attempting to create a number of classes to fill out a d20 class system. (20 player classes). I need a new tank class (5 each tank/dps/support/caster), working on the Idiot Class (first introduced in Oe). Need ideas for Idiot Archetypes.
Current Archetypes for the stereotypical "idiot" (for clarification, not referrring to someone of generally low iq or of mental illness, but someone who "causes a scene", i.e. a lout, oaf, fool, etc.)
Drunken Idiot (Resistant or Immune to Fear, potentially sub DPS build, resistant to poison and bludgeoning damage)
Lovesick Idiot (Immune to charm/domination, resistant to enchantment effects in general, focused antagonization against specific targets)
Clumsy Idiot (Generally a nuisance to enemies it is adjacent to, causing trips, disarmanent etc, by "accident")
Additional Context: The Idiot was first introduced as an NPC class in Oe. It's primary skill set allowed it to "throw a tantrum" which could accomplish a number of effects, but in general would annoy enemies which would then focus their attacks on the Idiot or suffer a variety of debuffs up to and including "hara kiri" (not included). The Idiot was an NPC class in Oe, but the consistent trope of the "X Idiot" character in media makes playing an "Idiot" a viable option. This class is not to be used in a disparaging way and if a more "politicaly correct" name can be suggested I'll consider it. According to google there are 123 synonyms for the word Idiot... none are particularly pleasant... But then again, the word "barbarian" isn't particularly politically flattering either.
The Current idea for the Idiot class focuses more on remarkable survivability (High HP + proficiency in any amror or shield + unarmored defense) but low offesensive power (no weapon proficiencies). The Idiot is a half-caster (all spells are thematic in regards to the comedic actions an Idiot might take). Overall, an Idiot is stupidly hard to take out of a fight and obnoxious in it's ability to disrupt the plans of intelligent foes despite it's low damage output.
