I started working on this back in January 2024, and I’d love some thoughts on balance and how it stacks up against existing stuffs. The goal here is to make something unique and fun to play—not a broken mess no table would ever allow. Trust me, I’ll take your feedback seriously.
Quick rundown: This is an Intelligence-based half-caster, built as a support first, debuffer second. Like a cleric, artificer, or bard, it’s designed to stay useful in most scenarios. A lot of its abilities require active decision-making, pushing the player to think strategically about when to use each feature. It’s a blend between expert and mage, with some healing and protection—though nothing as overwhelming as a Twilight Cleric or as skill-focused as an Artificer or Rogue.
I aimed for a middle ground, creating a support that keeps players engaged. You’ll constantly weigh whether to boost damage, focus on defense, or plan an escape, since the class can contribute in all those areas. It’s a great fit for anyone wanting to play a witch, chef, merchant, or similar fantasy archetype.
A heads-up: The descriptions are long and detailed because I hate when D&D leaves too much up to interpretation (for the wrong reasons). And don’t @ me about the Level 20 feature—most capstones are boring, so I wanted to try something different. (Don’t worry, it’ll probably get toned down to a stat boost or feature add-on soon enough.)
