How would you (or how do you) give your players access to higher level spells without being a high lever player character. It's super rare to run a campaign that goes from level 1-20. So what are some ways you could implement that your players could maybe channel works if a higher level than they normally would be able to, so they could have a chance to use those cool ones that they normally otherwise wouldn't ever get a chance to see?
I heard someone on a podcast mention this idea but it was very brief. They had mentioned that it would obviously come with a consequence of some sort. I can assume something like maybe a higher chance of wild magic, exhaustion, or something. But I'm just curious how other DMs might come up with a solution to this?
