So close friend of mine brought to me a campaign idea of a world without magic. I need help re-designing some substitution, one being for the monks class ability Empty Body, and also making a non-magical ranger class.
I have no idea what I was going to do for the monks class ability, but for the ranger I was planning on giving them like a die system that they would be able to add them to their attack and damage rolls and possibly to their ability checks and saving throws. I was also planning on still allowing them to have a beast pet, maybe also giving theses die to their pet. Another idea was to also give them special moves like the fighter's superiority die and maneuvers.
I was hoping to have this ranger really close in power to the other classes like the Barbarian, Fighter, Monk and Rogue. My idea for this class is that is like a very versatile class. For the combat things that I have come up with is a Volleyed Shot (Allowing them to shoot multiple arrows but for their action), a Steadied Shot (Granting the user advantage but for the cost for their action), some kind of Dodge (Letting them add the brainstormed "die system" to their AC). With that said the die system that I was hoping to add would have been like the bard in the idea that Ranger will be adding these die (starting at a D4) to their attack rolls and damage rolls and some if not all their ability checks and saving throws. Some of my ideas for this ranger come from this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEG-ly9tQGk
So again to anyone willing to help me design these things you have my thanks, and I look forward to working with you.
For empty body, either change out using astral projection for some other powerful effect, or just gut the ability and make a new one from scratch to replace it(a way to regain ki maybe?)

Just to understand properly: there is no magic per-se or Divine magic is still a thing in this setting? (I known, I know, there's no distinction between Divine and Arcane magic in 5ed, I am mostly wondering on if magics coming from the Gods would still be a thing, since you do not mention the Paladin as a class needing adjustments, for example)
If Divine Magic is still a thing, the Monk's Empty Body could potentially stay as it is, just a manifestation of Divine enlightenment of some kind.
For Ranger, I guess you might want to maybe improve on both the two-weapon fighting or the archery routes, in the vein of what the ranger was in 3.x ed, just to still give a meaningful choice throughout the levels, and probably implement the unhearted arcana revised ranger version of favored enemy.
