Do you think it could work? In the Magic lore, Sphinxes tend to be very knowledgeable and powerful, especially in Ravnica. They can be quite enigmatic, too. Also, due to the setting itself, it's fitting that Patrons and their Warlocks can exist in the same world as opposed to planes apart (like the suggestion that Boros Warlocks should take the Celestial Pact and Rakdos Warlocks should take the Infernal pact because that's simply where the angels/demons are?).
I imagine Sphinx Warlocks on Ravnica would be aligned towards Azorius, which would be really cool to imagine their conjured blades having the Azorius seals floating around them. What kind of abilities do you think they might have?

Feel free to check out my home brew, the Laika - a race of humanoid canines. (Current Version: 3)
I've come up with some ideas but I'm not that good at balancing - these are mostly inspired by some abilities that is shared by Sphinxes and what Isperia has in her block:
Expanded Spell List 1st - Shield, Detect Evil & Good 2nd - Silence, Zone of Truth 3rd - Bestow Curse, Clairvoyance 4th - Locate Creature, Greater Invisibility 5th - Dispel Evil & Good, Dominate Person
Riddle At 1st Level, you may impose a curse on a creature you can see within 90 ft. Designate one of the following actions: Attack, Cast a Spell, Dash, Disengage, Dodge, Help, Hide, Ready, Search, or Use an Object. The creature you targeted cannot take the designated action for one minute unless they succeed on an Intelligence saving throw against your Spell DC. At the end of each of their turns, the creature may attempt this saving throw again with a success ending the effect. A target that succeeds on the saving throw becomes immune to your Riddle for 24 hours. The number of times you may use this ability is 1 + your warlock level. You regain all expended uses after a long rest.
Enigmatic At 1st Level, you are immune to any attempts to read your emotions or thoughts. As well, you gain advantage on saving throws against any Divination spells you refuse.
These are very much still a work in progress and I don't have a particularly good sense of balance with this system yet, so please take these suggestions with a grain of salt. ^^;

Totally agree and am trying to work with my GM on building just that!
Mother of Goblins
let us know how this goes, would love to see what you come up with and maybe take inspiration for my own campaign!
