I'm trying to put together a feat, that my DM and I have worked out, and I've got most of it sorted out, but where I'm getting stuck is on adding a particular modifier. I can get it to work, but not 100% of the way I want. What I'm ultimately looking for, is a +1 to attack rolls, but only with a specific weapon type (in this case, a quarterstaff). I've got the modifier added to the feat, and if I add the feat to a character, it gets the +1 on that attack, but it also applies it to any other melee attacks (different weapon types, unarmed strikes, etc.)
Is there any way, that I'm just not finding, to restrict a bonus to a specific circumstance like I'm looking for, or am I out of luck?
Hi WaldenC. At this time there is no way to specify a specific item type for a bonus, you have not missed anything.
Options: A character who adds this feat can customize their Quarterstaff to reflect the +1, add a +1 Quarterstaff to their equipment to reflect the change, or add it on their own when rolling.
Hope that's helpful!

Hope this is the right place for this.
