Hi all! I'm hoping for some homebrew suggestions for armor, weapons, or other magical items that I could have crafted to incorporate the stones below. Through some bartering with a merchant NPC, my cleric was able to obtain the following items (also included is the NPC's description of each):
1. A crystal with flickering traces of light periodically running throughout
During the Crown Wars, the elven civil war, Corellon Larethian struck down Llolth with a blade of light. It shattered over the spider queens form, and many years later it was among the first treasures I pulled from Glimmering Run. The elves who appraised it explained it must be millenia old by now, but the Radiant energy still courses within like new.
2. A deep red sphere that has a soft glowing core
This one came me way as payment, from a merchant I did a big favor for. He was from Nostramo, the kingdom of the vampire lord. When their king was first turned, the people did all they could to save him, but nothing worked. When it was clear his curse couldn't be reversed, they tried to forge a magic source of blood so he didn't have to drink of the living. The item can channel powerful blood magic, but it's arcane nature provided no sustenance for their king, only living blood sufficed. With no further use for a Blood Stone, it was given as payment to me.
3. A glassy pyramid
That last one is from Anauroch, specifically the resting place of Sunn'Ra. He ruled a desert empire in ancient times, and waged war against the Yuan-Ti, wiping them out, but being cursed in the process. He had powerful magics at his disposal, including that glass pyramid. His generals each had them, and they allowed them to control the Sands, moving and hiding entire legions, and causing storms that flensed their foes flesh. Even so long after, the power within the artifacts endure.
If it helps, when my cleric used Detect Magic on the stones present before him, the DM explained;
You gaze upon the stones with new clarity. It is not like inspecting magic items. Magical items have their form set, their properties defined, you can tell exactly what they do. These stones are more like magic in a liquid state. Each radiates a type of energy, but the potential of all schools of magic are present in each. For example, the green cube has Acidic power at it's core, but could be forged into a function that uses this power to damage, or transmute, or even divine.
Initially, there were 11 stones to choose from, above were the three my cleric chose. Thanks, everyone in advance!
