Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Everyone is welcome, including beginners. Timezone: EST (but any can play so long as it fits in) Schedule: Friday at 8pm Roles sought: Player Game style: Focus on roleplaying, but with a good mix of combat and exploration.
The group is in a campaign called War of Truth, and I'm seeking 1-2 new players for this one. The party is currently a Barbarian, Paladin, Druid/Rogue, and Wizard (lvl 6). I have a plot synopsis written below to give you an idea of the events happening and how the game will go moving forward.
Plots
War of Truth: After having witnessed the destructive power of an unknown explosive on the warfront between Maximous and Falathel, the adventuring party known as "The Cask Raisers" journey in search of answers to the escalating war. As they investigate the nation of Falathel, they have found evidence of illegal materials being used to create weapons, but the threads are not fully connected. Join the group as they work to learn the truth of this war.

This campaign is broken up into "seasons" that will last for about 20 sessions each. At the end of a season, the campaign will be paused for no more than 3 weeks to allow myself to prepare for the next batch, while also giving any players an easy out if they are unsatisfied. Each session will be 3-4 hours long on average. WoT is 31 sessions in.
I charge $10 per player, per session. We will chat privately before your first session to establish your character and place in the story, and if you do not find me to be the right kind of DM we can end at any point, no grudges. This campaign is LGBTQ+ friendly, and is using the Lines & Veils safety tool. I will only accept those that are 18+.
The setting of Vogard is high fantasy with some Final Fantasy-like elements. It is pre-gunpowder, so no firearms. This also means that I will not allow the Artificer. I am pretty liberal with character creation, so long as it isn't world breaking. A list of available races, classes, and subclasses will be provided near the start of the session 0. Homebrew outside of my own is unlikely to be approved, but I am very willing to work with a player to create something new. If you seek a more in-depth description of the world and my style, this link is an introduction to Vogard. I encourage players to consider some of the homebrew options that would fit the setting.
We will be playing over Discord voice chat, without cameras. Using Beyond for character sheets, as well as using Roll20 as our VTT. Stats will be selected through point buy. Hit points will be rolled when leveling, rerolling any 1's (and 2’s for classes with d10/d12 hit die). I have a fair amount of homebrew races and subclasses for those interested in playing something new.
If you are interested, you can message me at my Discord username is Meerkody. I will try to respond as soon as I'm available.
Note: Due to developments in the campaign, I have some restrictions for your character just so that they fit into the story and aren't some random adventurer dragged into a bigger problem suddenly.
