Group type: Online, D&D Beyond Sheets & Roll20 Maps. Experience: 4.5 years. Location/Timezone: EST Schedule: Mon - Fri (7pm - 10,11pm) EST Roles sought: Experienced Players / Newer players / Committed players Game style: Westmarch
Just before the spell plague, there was an ancient battle among the mortal empires of men, elves, dwarves, orcs, and many others. Each of these races onto themselves collided with great evil. Mystra the goddess of all magic, known at the time as Mystryl descended from the heavens onto the fields of battle to aid the mortal creatures of Toril. A large sword charged with the very essence of the weave collided with the god of destructive wrath Talos in combat. A large clash rang out and with it the sword was shattered and thrown out to the lands. Magic began to crumble at the fingertips of mages and large floating cities were brought crashing down to earth. That was nearly 3000 years ago according to historians. Recently a large piece of land has emerged which could be understood as the final location of the sword shattering.
Venture forth to the undiscovered peninsula risen from the sea, Calecor. Engage in mysteries across the lands that take you from the deepest depths of the earth, to the swelling seas & Frigid mountain peaks, to the very Planes themselves. Explore numerous factions that can either be swayed or put to the sword depending on what YOU do.
Join or make a thieves guild, Build a temple & have devoted followers. Build businesses and trade to establish wealth for your character. Sell weapons, armor and magic items to other players, Build onto the world the way you see fit. The world moves if you've got your foot on the pedal or not.
Starting from humble beginnings in 'Hearth Home', you will explore the surrounding areas and push the limits of adventure further for the rest of the settlers, treasure hunters & heroes. A great army of time has engulfed the shadowed lands of Thay as it progresses ever further. Can you uncover the mysteries of this land risen from the sea by the very gods who engaged in a once-ancient war?
A Westmarch-style game is very player-driven, You will arrange play times with other players that work with the GM's schedule (I'm very open) and partake in a persistent world with interchangeable party members.
Westmarch is a persistent world with 14-24 other players that play on alternating days, times & party members to give you a feeling of being a true adventurer and sharing discoveries!
(This world is loosely based on traditional D&D locations & lore within Toril. Some things have been changed)
I alternate days I play, but usually 3 days per week, Example - Monday,Weds,Fri or Tues,Weds, Thurs.
I do use quite a lot of Homebrew monsters & magic items, I also enjoy the creativity of making new ideas come to life. The rule of cool still applies to mytables.
Major Themes
⚫ Tools have a purpose. Gather resources and recipes, Craft items, Use them yourself, or open a business and sell them to others for a profit.
⚫ The world itself will challenge your tactical wit in combat & exploration, As you push out further from Hearth Home monsters become more difficult & rewarding.
⚫ I roll out in the open for combat & for most rolls. I do not hold punches ( not vindictive but if that's the roll that's the risk)
All rules can be found on the Discord server.
