Giants have emerged from their strongholds to threaten civilization as never before. Hill giants are stealing all the grain and livestock they can, while stone giants have been scouring settlements that have been around forever. Fire giants are press-ganging the small folk into the desert, while frost giant longships have been pillaging along the Sword Coast. Even the elusive cloud giants have been witnessed, their wondrous floating cities appearing above Waterdeep and Baldur’s Gate. Where is the storm giant King Hekaton, who is tasked with keeping order among the giants?
The humans, dwarves, elves, and other small folk of the Sword Coast will be crushed underfoot by the onslaught of these giant foes. The only chance at survival is for the small folk to work together to investigate this invasion and harness the power of rune magic, the giants’ weapon against their ancient enemies, the dragons. The only way the people of Faerun can restore order is to use the giants’ own power against them.
This adventure will bring you from levels 1-11. We will then go on a homebrew campaign based on how the events unfold during the initial campaign and then conclude epically with the 16th Level adventure Giants of Star Forge. This will take a LONG time so please only apply if you are in it for the long haul :D. New players are welcome, experienced players too.
About me as a DM: Hey my name is Rick. I'm a Psych student with a penchant for collaborative storytelling! I like to come up with ways to incorporate PC stories into the main narrative giving the campaign a personal touch. I like to make sure everyone is included but I don't really put people on the spot. Everyone has their own comfort levels when it comes to how much or little they like to RP,
The campaign is nice- one of my favourites truly. That being said what makes this campaign sing is that it creates room for PC growth and interaction. Your backstory will be important and a part of the story as much as the module. Modules sometimes (especially paid ones but you didn't hear this from me) become the main focus and not the players' story. That is not my vibe. It is extra work on the PCs part and mine but that is what will create those feelings of immersion that we are all secretly after.
Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to look at the game :) Due to the nature of this campaign I am looking for players who are in it for the long run. if interested, please apply here.
