Group type: Online; MapsVTT with Discord for Video chat
Location/Timezone: Eastern USA
Schedule: Sundays - 6:00pm EST
Roles sought: up to 3 additional players
I'm looking to run some games using Maps as the VTT in a generic fantasy world. I figure 3-4 sessions to start but if things work out we can always extend.
The game will be first person role playing, good aligned, with limited/no out of character, and I usually run games a touch on the grittier side. I have 40+ years of xp as a GM but the game welcomes beginners. Game is trying to be episodic (so each session should be a complete story playable by whomever can make that week's game).
Game will be 5e (2014) and not using most 2024 rules as of yet. All previously published official WotC classes and species that you own on D&DBeyond are available. You'll be starting at level 2 using standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8; +2/+1 decoupled as per Tasha's).
We will be using video through discord as it greatly enhances the roleplay.

I am interested but have not used Maps VTT before. I do have a inactive character that I created one day while bored. I am unsure if you allow them. I can link the character sheet if needed as well as provide more information on her creation.

2. How long have you been playing table-top RPGs? I have been playing for over a year, however I've only played 3 games.
3. What will your species, class, and subclass be? Species: Aasimir, Class: Ranger, Subclass: Unknown (not well versed using subclasses)
4. Briefly tell me a little about your hero in 2-3 sentences: Ren is a noble, hiding in plain sight, wearing a mask to hide her heritage. She spends most of her time in the wilderness killing unnatural or evil monsters and the like. Ren is known to help families in need by providing meat she has hunted while she wanders.
5. What will your hero's alignment be? Chaotic Good
1) Yes, I can and am ok with video 2) I’ve been playing D&D for nearly 3 years now 3) Ravana Crecelle, a Topaz (Gem) Dragonborn Paladin/Warlock, eventually Oath of Conquest and Undead Patron (trust me, they’re not evil) 4) Ravana grew up in a well-off and respected family with a history of renowned warriors. He lost that wealth and respect when he chose to pact with an Undead guardian spirit (check Haugbui). Unperturbed by his changed status, Ravana ruthlessly protects that which he or his companions can call home. 5) Lawful Neutral or LG if good is required 6) discord: dolanator9
I have been playing DND for only 2 years, so I am still learning things.
I have a vulpin blood hunter made already, been itching to test him.
He was raised by wolves, learning the common tongue from adventurers who traveled through the forest. He later learned that innocent animals were being injured and taken from their lands, so he decided to try and free as many as he could. Along the way, he would steal from the rich who deserved to be stolen from, and give it to the poor, who needed it.
His alignment is chaotic good.
