The world in which you live is in a state of peace, and it has been for some years. Things are nice, unless you thrive on war. The economy of every region in the land is booming, trade relations have never been better between the four cities of Naljada. People are, for the first time in a long time, enjoying life risk free from the troubles of constant battle and death. Everybody is in a good place. The focus of the world has turned towards helping those in need and even those of the upper class lend their hand to the less fortunate in an effort to make lives enjoyable. Diseases are being cured as those with the right knowledge aim their skills at developing medicines and vaccines instead of weapons of mass destruction. You couldn’t be existing in Naljada at a better time.
Within the city of Kathos, the technological marvel of Naljada; you've been afforded opportunities one could never dream of finding elsewhere in the world. It's come at the cost of leaving most of what you know behind, but it's been worth it for the chances you've been gifted since living in this modern utopia. The streets are clean, some things even run themselves and you'll never find a more accepting State of adventurers and residents. Why are you in Kathos? Which State will you travel to next? Have you heard about what happened in Tangria? And who may you meet on your travels?
Would you like to find out...?
Me
Hi there, my name is Ned. I’m a professional actor, voice actor and also a thoroughly bored student when I’m not on set. I’ve been playing DnD 5e for 4 years now, but my journey began on 4e, just a year prior. I’ve pretty much played with the same party for my entire experience, but with everyone going their separate ways for university I’ve been left at a loss of a good DnD fix. My group would fluctuate the DM on every campaign, so as well as playing, I’ve also been DMing for 5 years, just not every time. Even so, I have plenty of experience in the field. You may wonder “Why is this particular campaign paid when I could so easily play one for free?” Well let me tell you. Acting is a great job which I adore, but before you hit your big break it can also be extremely inconsistent. As a student, money is always an issue and I figure I can do things alongside acting and university. Either work a job I hate which ties me down, or do something I love and am passionate about. As most would, I’ve opted for the latter. This is a campaign I’ve poured my heart and soul into in order to ensure that you’re having the best experience possible. It will also have, potentially, one of the most epic finales you’ve ever been apart of in DnD should you play in a way that takes you there. This is a rich world you’ll be learning about which will be returned too in future campaigns should you wish to come back for another.
Game Details
I’m looking for a party of 6 to take places in a campaign which is related but not physically connected… yet, to another campaign I'm running within the same world. This will be a long campaign so I’m looking for players who can get behind one character consistently. The sessions for this party run once a week, between 4-5 hours, through a discord server you’ll be invited to if you make it into the group, every Thursday or Sunday at: 7pm EST, 4pm PST or 11pm GMT depending on where you are. Any nationality is welcome at my virtual table.
The first session will be a FREE TRIAL RUN to see if you and your party connect, and if you like the world. After that, each game will be $12 paid two hours before each session via PayPal. Not that I don’t trust the wonderful DnD community, it’s just a lot easier to keep track. It may seem expensive, but you're paying for the most immersive and detailed DnD experience money can buy I assure you.
These are homebrew games which will have a healthy blend of drama, combat, roleplay and comedy. I hope that's your type of game. I'm not implementing any new rules or regulations, so don't worry about or expect anything outside of the DMG and PHB.
Character Creation
All characters begin as Level 6 and progress via Milestone. Characters stats are to be picked via the point buy system. Should you have a great reason for it, with regards to weapons and spells I will let you have something outside of starting gear. All other gear will be starting equipment. No characters who are evil just for the sake of it. ******** are ok, as long as at heart you have a good reason for being so. Please come in with a good backstory! Pre-existing characters are absolutely fine so long as they are level 4 (Half-orcs are fine). Fleshed out characters only make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved, but especially for me.

Changeling (flexible)
Pact of the Blade Warlock
Criminal/Spy (flexible): Lost the person they loved due to an accident he caused. He never got over it. He now wishes to find a place in the world where he belongs. He never felt welcomed where ever he went. He went about his life barely surviving. He found himself steal to survive. Then one fateful day, he met another changeling. She changed his life, and he felt welcomed. They both didn't belong anywhere and worked together to steal and survive. He made a dark pact in the promise of power, a new life, and wealth, but at a price. He wanted this power to improve their lives, he didn't know what he was getting himself into, how could he? The price he had to pay was the life of the one he loved.
Probably just seeing characters change and evolve over time is my favorite part. The characters are always my favorite part of D&D.
Name: Ethan jones Age: 15 Experience: been playing for a year now. Race: half elf Class: fighter Character name: Leozaren Backstory: When he was adventuring one day he was called back to his family because of an incident, and so Leo never returned to adventuring. but now that the problem was dealt with he moved back to adventuring, gear and all. and so Leo set off to find adventure once again. Favorite moment: My favorite moment was when my dragonborn took his Bastard sword and decapitated a dragon and taking the skull and crushing it with his bare hands.
Backstory: I grew up in a small town with one very close friend. She and I stayed out of trouble and helped our families around the farm. One day we venture to the local tavern for a drink A very powerful and cruel man slides up next to my friend and makes quite crude and unwanted advances. She voices her discomfort and he grabs her, everyone in the tavern just looks away. I stand up and and throw my hardest punch wich results in an all out fight. Just when i get the upper hand he pulls a dagger and stabs me. My friend rushes me to the local doctor in an attempt to save me. As the doctor tries to stop the bleeding and revive me. Just as he is about to pronounce me dead a preistess from the church walks in and starts praying for me. During this time I am visited by an angel who tells me anyone who defends those who cannot defend themselves should never die so young. She grants me divine powers and I take the oath of vengeance.
-DnD Background/Experience: Been playing DnD and other TTRPG's (Pathfinder, World of Darkness) on and off since I was about 10, and playing (and DMing) 5e consistently (at least once a week, sometimes up to 3 times a week on special weeks) for 2 years now.
-Character: Baast
-Race: Aasimar
-Class: Warlock
-Character Backstory: Coming from a happy childhood in a moderate working class human family, Baast was always a good person. They generally got along with most people, and treated others in equal respects as they would treat them; including bullies, always believing there would be some sort of cosmic balance in store. One bully in particular always took things further and darker then most, and always perpetuating; which is when Basst found themselves in a situation of dire need, as it was life of death...and they chose life. They sent out pleas to the multiverse for help in that moment, and time stopped, and a voice answered the call. Now burdened with this bargain, as well as the deadly deed in desperation that allowed Baast to keep that life, they journey to find answers; and to be that voice who reaches for others in desperate times.
-Favorite Ever DnD Moment: The party was in a room that had 3 caskets in them. All three caskets were open and the puzzle was one that revealed that each PC must place the most valued possession they have in caskets (expecting gold, magic items, a precious trinket from a backstory), close the lids, and thus sacrificing them. I was a halfling rogue who usually didnt keep trinkets and would throw myself into battle, thinking I was a tank. I Rp'd out a decision making process where I revealed the reason I threw myself into battle was to save my friends, and that I was really depressed, but couldnt face the truth of it. I said the greatest gift I ever received was helping save my friends countless times, and nothing else would do and I climbed into the casket, closed the lid, and was subject to a Disintegration spell forcing me to roll a CON save...which I rolled a 1. But with my Halfling Luck feat, I was able to reroll, rolled a Natural 19, and the lid opened up...my friends items were gone, but I remained.
-Experience: Haven't played a real game but have watched my friends through 2 campaigns and somewhat have a general sense of what goes on and what to do, but very interested
-Character: Dredge
-Race: Half Elf
-Class: Ranger
-Character backstory:Born and raised in a humble village, Dredge a young half elf was part of the town militia. Young and inexperienced he spent most of his days honing his archery and swordsmanship to the best of his ability. Then on one fateful night the village came under attack by a vicious band of beasts unidentifiable in the black of night. the meek towns guard alongside Dredge are overwhelmed in the flood of fur and fangs. The beasts eventually exhaust the forces of the guard and retreat to try and save the villagers beginning to wake and sense the fear and blood thick in the air. Standing 3 in remaining number of the guard struggling to save a very small number of villagers, Dredge suffers a devastating slash from the top of his brow all the way down his body rendering him unconscious. He awakes the following morning, sight bloodied and witnesses the carnage of the place that was once his home. scattered around are the remains of the villagers and guards. Just as he regains his footing, a horn of battle is blown and the ground rumbled with the footfalls of the kings army. Upon being discovered by the crowns army he quickly became known as the sole survivor and hero of his village. From that day he vanished into the wilderness in hopes to find and bring vengeance to those who had massacred his village.
Favorite moments: two of my friends were rogues and came across a locked chest in a dungeon they both went to go unlock it to get whatever treasure was inside. the rolls of both were both 1. The DM laughed for about 3 minutes before saying " The sight of the chest and promise of treasure had transfixed both rogues in the party. as they approached the chest at the same time lock picks in hand their heads collided not realizing the other was there. in the realization of what just happened you both drop your thieves tools through a small drainage gutter in the floor". Everyone in the party was probably laughing for about 10 minutes after that.
I've played on and off since high school. Recently getting back into it
Character: Eragrace
Race: Warforged
Class: Monk
Character Backstory:
His first memory was playing war with siblings. He doesn't know if this true or not, but Eragrace likes to think he was not built for real wars. Something was always different in his head from the others: when he looked in the mirror he had more cracks on his skull then the others, his eyes shaded differently from his battalion, and he that damn memory. As a human child, playing with sticks with brothers and sister a game of war. Little boy Eragrace punches down and immediately the punch lands on another warforged. Eragrace remembers this isn't a game but a real war. Eragrace didn't do much fighting outside of basic training though, mostly errands and manual labor. After the conflict ended he was just abandoned, lost with his memories of a pretend war and the real one. he joined a monastery to see if enlightenment would bring back memories but it didnt. Although Eragrace trained well and was set to be a personal body guard for the Abbot, Eragrace instead took pilgrimage. His goal: find the meadow in his memory, where he and his siblings played that war game. If it is real, it will confirm the deepest mystery of his mind is true. If it isn't, Eragrace will accept the dream as nothing more and return to the Monastery. Random details: Eragrace has troubled still understanding what clothes are for outside of uniforms. Eragrace has nailed in strips of cloth and leather to simulate hair on his head.
Favourite Ever DnD Moment:
The time I thought I ate the 20sided die when stoned out of my mind.
DnD Background/Experience: 5e for 1 year, played in multiple short campaigns.
Character: Wenceslaus D'Xul
Race: Bronze Dragonborn
Class: Divine Soul Sorcerer (Good)
Character Backstory:
Born to a royal family, the third in line for the throne, Wen grew bored of a pampered lifestyle. While his eldest sister prepared to become a duchess and his brother a soldier, Wen was gifted with magic from his people's benevolent god. Grown up to learn to use his magic to help those around him, he in secret learned how to use it for combat as well. After all, what good would he be in a position of power if he can't protect himself. His family believed in preparation. Their motto, "Never Unprepared", live in Wen throughout his whole childhood. Even in a world of peace there was no reason to not be ready for an attack. When time came for his family to donate him to priesthood, to work at the church, Wen rebelled. Eventually this would leave him to abandon his family and his lifestyle and finally grab hold of the freedom he sought for so long.
With nothing holding him back he managed to buy passage on a ship away from his home city and toward his new future. He ended up loving the sea and it would seem his Bronze blood sought to live upon the sea. And so he did, for years he sailed and served, acting as a merchant and a guard his mixture of spells and physical training helped him make his way on the ships he worked on. With no plan to stop sailing he eventually landed in Kathos as a merchant's guard. After acting as a salesman for the merchant he would take his pay and receive the bad news that the captain would no longer need his services. With a half broken heart but an optimistic view he would set off alone into the city, in search of his next adventure.
D & D background: playing since 5e started, always had an interest for d and d, have also been a dm for a Year and a half now.
Character: Alvanihm Silvanis
Race: high elf (moon elf variant)
class: wizzard (blade singer)
Backstory: Groomed to be a soldier Alvanihm found himself vastly unmatched for the task at hand, prefering books and arcane studies over his warrior family background for generations. With the peaceful times and new age of prosperity however, Alvanihm found himself wandering from his elven heritage and seeking more in life, finding the quiet life of elven society not to his liking, keeping the blade singer teachings more as a respect for culture then actual need for its use in every day life, however he liked being able to take care of himself with magic or motions whenever the time may arise, more out of self pcontrol then of pride. Wandering out into the world Alvanihm finds himself in the midst of wonderous cities and cultures never studied, and his only wish is to find friends and journey to parts unknown for adventure and a good time!
Favorite d & d moment: I love it most when players shenanigans and or roll-play take the story into a twist the dm never expected, forcing the dm to use on the spot improv, theres not one moment necessarily but the feeling both as a dm and as a player is one of my favorites.
