Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online / Roll20 Experience: New / a few years / veteran Location/Timezone: PST (LA time) Schedule: Fridays at 4pm PST open to 5pm Roles sought: Player (4) more Game style: Casual 15%, combat 65% , and roleplay 20%
Third session will be free like most session zeros.
Set in the forgotten realms (just about everyone's favorite) you will embark on a journey South-East of the Nether Mountains into the Anauroch desert. Join a high quality homebrew campaign in a desert setting; unravel the mystery unfolding around the humble oasis town of Sakma.
*Characters and creation- This core story will range from 1-6 and an extended story to possibly level 10.
I believe in working with players to create a fun place to game; I am willing to trade certain racial traits for feats and other racial traits that I deem fair and don't break the game (IE: trading out 3 traits like darkvision, savage attack, and menacing from half-orc for a single feat)
-All licensed content with a non-evil alignment (questions just ask).
-All licensed classes as well as some UA and Blood Hunter.
-Start at level 1 with choices to either roll my custom macro(4d6d1) or 27 point buy (15 max 8 min).
If you roll you cannot choose point buy! If you choose to roll and get bad rolls you can choose to roll again at a cost; every consecutive re-roll (up to 2 re-rolls with a total of 3 rolls) you incur a -1 to three different stat scores (not mods).
-Upon completion of at least 2 paragraphs backstory, flaws/bonds/ideals/personality traits and character creation you will receive a magic item of my choice.
*What is in store for you when joining my game- I USE INSPIRATION HEAVILY FOR ROLEPLAYERS!
A DM that takes pride in a good story and the element of FUN; I will, if need be, change the rules in a session if all players agree and the outcome is FUN. I very much follow the rule of cool and let every player shine in different ways. I will work with EACH player to weave your story into the fabric of the game. I've spent a small fortune on maps, trinkets, and animated effects. All books save some modules and eberron. I have painstakingly handcrafted each map with lots of visual flair and every bit tells its own story. There are more than a few maps that I have spent 40+ hours working on so you could enjoy 30 minutes; now while time in it of itself doesn't always equate to quality, I assure you that with me it does!
-20+ Detailed maps ranging from a 10x10 caravan camp to a 15x15 bandit camp to a 75x75 desert (Lost mines of Phandelver has roughly 7 maps ranging from 10x10 to 25x25 squares as a point of reference)
*Pay to play- This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $13per Session per player (once a week before we start at 4PM PST Fridays) .Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Pay to play allows for me to buy more content and make even grander maps and stories! I have a full time career that I fully enjoy and I am not DMing for a living; you won't be getting harassed by me about payment likes some other DMs. I am also not looking to cram my sessions full of as many players as I can to increase my $/hour; 4-5 players is the best way to get a good story. The session will start each week with a minimum of 4 players. It's simple, pay before each game and we all have fun in a fantasy world! (Tipping is NOT encouraged as you have already payed; however, welcome should you feel the need)
